I bought this as a replacement for another BMW bottle that I got for free a long time ago that I lost, which was actually a water bottle but I didn’t need an additional water bottle so I purchased the thermos version. I didn’t think I would use this thermos as much as I am these days, if I’m running late having a cup of coffee to go is the small pleasure I get to enjoy before a long drive on the freeway. Purchased this tumbler for use in my car for hot teas and coffee. It fits perfectly in the cup holder with no vibration during driving. The beverages stay warm for hours. The cap has a very secure seal but comes off without struggling when you want to remove it. The insulation in this tumbler is excellent. The outside of the tumbler is cool to the touch but the beverage is hot. I loved this tumbler so much that I bought another one for my husband to use during his commute. My tumbler is over a year old now and still works and looks great.

This mug is stainless inside (some mugs advertise that they're stainless, but then the inside is plastic). It is quite well insulated and retains temperatures for both hot and cold beverages for about as long as any travel mug could possibly do. It's durable and fits in virtually all car cup-holders.

But don't expect it to be spill-proof. Liquid can seep from the top near the open/close slide; but, the overall top seal is excellent. The solution is not to fill the mug to the very top and keep it upright - then there shouldn't be any problem.

I've been using this exact mug for years (mine is the original circa 2005; my husband's is the 5th, as he loses his periodically!). It's getting hard to find, so I was really happy to find it at Amazon.com.

I just received this and it looks like its made of poor quality materials. The BMW logo is printed on and looks very cheap and the black band is made of a cheap quality product - I hope it lasts a while. I had one from my local BMW dealership and the difference in price is worth it. This is just OK, but I would not purchase again.
