DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM! This items is not a "BMW genuine Hood Emblem" as claimed in the product name and description. After two weeks of being installed, the white color turned yellow, which a genuine BMW emblem does not do. As the change in color is not immediate, it is too late to get a refund under the AMAZON RETURN POLICY! Do not waste your money on this counterfeit product falsely advertised as genuine. Pay $5 more and buy it from the the dealer.BMW Genuine Hood Roundel Emblem 82 mm for All Model Except Z4 Fits Most Trunk See Description

I purchased this emblem because it stated"genuine" and the part # matches bmw part. the emblem did not fit flush like the old one, it rocked back and forth at 12 and 6 clock position and it faded/yellowed in 1 week!!!

Disappointed amazon prime member. This isn't oem, it is a fake. Here's why; they copied almost all of the markings as the original oem emblem on the back except for a few markings they missed, the original emblem has 4 circles on the back as well as 4 holes in the back whereas the fake one does not, they had the nerve to even copy the bmw logo. The title says genuine, I was expecting oem. The quality is not the same, it doesn't have the same clear finish as the original, dents easily when you press on it (the original oem emblem doesn't dent by just pressing it with your fingers, you can press as hard as you want and the emblem will not dent). By the time I installed the product, it had a few dents in it already, so I put back my old original emblem. The silver plastic on the back is shinier than the original indicating it's not the real thing, and is not as strong a quality plastic, I know this because when I went to take it off to put back on my original one, both of the tabs broke off and one got stuck in the hood. I've changed oem emblems on 4 of my previous bmws, none of which the tabs broke off.

The emblem fit fine on my 2009 335i, but it turned yellow in one week. This is not an OEM part or they got a bad shipment. I hope they will replace it with the correct one as this one needs to be thrown away.

This is the second emblem purchased and in both cases, the sticker has come off. Yes, it is a sticker, and that's how you can tell this is not genuine. The real BMW emblem is molded & painted. This is a rather convincing copy (it even has a BMW part number on the back). However, the top part is a puffy sticker. Wouldn't be a problem if air didn't get under it and peel off (which will undoubtedly happen, as it is on the hood of your car while traveling at highway speeds). Ended up buying the real deal from an online BMW part reseller for $40. Not cheap, but no question, it will not come off until someone takes it off.

When I received the emblem it did say BMW and have the # on the back side ; yet I had to buy rubber grommets to put on & then on the day after I put the new emblem on with new grommets the sticker came off as I went and had my car washed... That's right! This is a fake & has a sticker that will come off the car during a car wash. I have now realized that a Genuine BMW Emblem you will notice as when you rub your fingers across it; you will feel the raised painted BMW & spinning propeller ensignia = which is what the blue & white represent as they used to be known for their aircraft engines... I got taken on this one!

I almost ordered one from a much lower priced seller and luckily I first saw the reviews which said it was clearly a cheap imitation.

I can't say with certainty that this one is the real deal, but it looks similar to the one that came with the car, and it definitely isn't cheap looking. It was really easy to install. I saw a video on YouTube that showed a guy changing one. You pry the old one off with a screwdriver (put a plastic barrier such as an old credit card under the screwdriver to protect the hood) and then you just press fit the new one on.

This unit doesn't come with the plastic grommets that it pressure fits into. In my case the old grommets worked fine, but if you live in Arizona or someplace really hot, you might want to pull the old one off and see if you need to order a set of grommets if the old ones are dried out and cracked.

Yellowed in only 3 months. Doesn't fit like the old one (2001 330i)
Don't drop it! The inside of the emblem will shatter!
Go ahead and spend extra on a real OEM emblem.
UPDATE: It flew off my car after only 8 months!!
