I purchased this for my BMW 328i but it does not work. It does not charge the phone nor does it play through the center console of my car. Plus, for returns they charge 25% so it's more than just a waste of time.

Cannot believe this product did not last a year. I lightly used it on weekdays (not to mention that sometimes i did not use it for an entire week), the 30 pin connector case just popped out and makes it hard to plug it in and out. What a waste..!

I used this adapter to connect my Ipod to my 2012 R1200RT BMW motorcycle. Worked like a charm!!! I was sketical and wrote the compnay to see if they had any experiences with BMW and the adapter. While they did not have any experiences with BWM R1200RTs, they said not to worry. If it did not work I could retiurn it no questions. For $7 I figured how can I lose. In the end, no loss here; this was as good as the $89 name brand model. I'm glad I made the purchase.

The iPhone end of this adaptor fell apart after only 2 months. I had to tape it back together, and it is quite dodgy. The cable is so short that you cannot leave the iPhone on the console - it is crushed by the armrest (135i). Even in the velcor-ed holder, the cable gets pulled out of the iPhone.

As an iPhone adapter, I am not sure that it provided advantages over generic cables that provide aux-out. With this cable, you can't use Pandora, as it always starts up the music player.

Save your money and get a better solution than BMW's.

THE BMW IPOD ADAPTOR CABLE ARRIVED WITH THE CONNECTION BOX LID OFF AND WOULD NOT STAY ON....COULD NOT SEE A LONG TERM LIFE WITH THE ELECTRONICS SHOWING......

This item was very competetively priced, however, failed to meet my expectations from a performance standpoint. The audio connectivity proved to be unreliable, with music selections cutting off sporadically. This problem was random at first, but within a couple short weeks of use, became quite regular. Also, the menu interface with my car's audio system does not function properly, making it impossible for me to make music selections without utilizing my iPod device directly to make the selections. Ultimately, I purchased a similar connect cable from a local BMW dealership, at a much inflated price, unfortunately, but have had 100% success. Visually, both items appear to be very similar in design, if not identical. Go figure!!!
