From the manufacturer
The Boker Plus 01BO372 USA Orange is a version of the classic model, with a tactical partially serrated blade. The functional design was brought to us by German custom knife maker Raimund Lhotak which features a low profile handle made of high quality fiberglass reinforced nylon, which provides a secure grip, even in extreme weather conditions. The blade is made of premium 154CM steel, offering outstanding cutting performance and are secured by a sturdy lock back mechanism with a Boye-dent. The universal blade shape and light weight allow for even heavy duty cutting chores. The reversible pocket clip and lanyard hole make this new design the ideal everyday companion. This is the first series proudly made in America by Fox Knives USA. Blade length: 3-3/8 in. Overall Length: 7-1/2 in. Weight: 2.1 oz. Limited Lifetime Warranty. The line of Boker Plus knives provides outstanding, innovative knife concepts for every mission. Designed in cooperation with knife experts worldwide.

excellent ergonomics. Made in the USA.
The pivot stiff out of the box but it can be adjusted for one handed operation.
FRN handle is stiff enough (no liner) and grippy.
Like most lockbacks, strong detente.
Excellent pocket clip with just the right amount of tension. Reversible, tip-up carry only
3-3/8 inch blade length, 4-1/4 inch handle length.
Overall and blade length somewhere between Spyderco Delica and Endura.
Price also comparable.
Paid under $70 for it. Not cheap, but definitely worth every cent.
Some Bokers are duds, definitely not this model.
Highly recommended if you are looking for a light weight, quality EDC knife.
Comparable alternatives in size, weight and price:
Spyderco Delica, Endura, Manix2 FRN;
Benchmade 530, Mini-Griptilian (full size shown on photo);
Now I need to decide whether to return this dissapointing blade or hope that a couple of evenings in front of the TV opening & closing it will eventually break it in.
Recommendation: Don't buy
Update... I returned the disappointing first knife and tried a replacement. The second knife is a major improvement, smooth opening and well finished, definately the kind of knife I expect of Boker.
I liked the over all look of the Patriot, but I was concerned about the build quality since Boker has a poor reputation regarding product consistency. Since I had $40 credit on Amazon, I decided to try one out.
The Patriot is not horrible, it just is not that great for $65. The grooved contours of the handle are not very ergonomic for your fingers. The finger choil is too small for practical use even though it is designed as a 50/50 choil. Due to the poor finger choil design, the natural place for your index finger is behind the blade axis. This creates a noticeable leverage disadvantage during cutting since the indexing point is 1 inch behind the start of the cutting edge. Also, the cutting edge does not start at the base of the blade with the plunge grind. This is because there is no sharpening choil.
The edge grind is very thick for a small knife. The sharpness was fair, but the factory apex buffing looked very wavy, it may have been slightly chipped. The factory grind had no noticeable burrs. By lightly honing the apex with Spyderco ceramics (fine and ultra fine), I created a push cutting edge quickly.
I have $12 folders that have none of these issues, but have well designed ergonomics; however, being made in the USA with 154 CM will raise the price.
