An exciting new design from Jens AnsØ. This folder is designed as a large EDC knife or an all purpose tactical knife. The sturdy scales are hard coat anodized. Due to the specially designed texturing, the handles provide a full, secure grip. The blade locks securely with the sturdy steel liner and is crafted of high performance N690BO stainless steel. Blade length: 3 3/4". Overall length: 8 5/8". Weight: 6.1 oz.

From the above description.....from Youtube vids...I expected a knife that was bulky and a little heavy, leaning more towards the tactical application side, and I wasn't crazy about the Aluminum scales either, but I just wanted to at least give it a shot because in all practical appearances, it's a simple and straightforward designed knife. Probably awkward at best right?
Well it's nicely packaged....the knife is serial numbered and guess what?....the box contains the serial number as well....when I opened it and unfolded the blade....the 5.76 oz weight I mentioned earlier....well it disappeared somewhere.....in all honesty, the way that this knife is designed, it is very well balanced and all of that weight is distributed evenly through the entirety of the 8.5" knife...very stout blade....so visually and size wise, the knife feels as though it weighs in at under 5 0z (open position only)....the aluminum scales are very light as well and the knife only has jimping on the liner lock...all of the would-be edges on the handle scales for well-rounded and very smooth...the golf ball designed indentions machined into the scale adds a little texture, but it is not overtly aggressive....the scale side that the pocket clip attaches to is smooth...speaking of pocket, it's right side tip up/down only, satin in color, simple in design, yet effective at the same time, allowing the knife to almost disappear in the pocket.....the oversized thumb studs are definitely in taste, as this is no small knife, and they too are well designed and comfortable during blade deployment.....knife has open back design so as not to trap accumulated pocket trash that well all seem to gather from somewhere....because of the knife's flawless lines, I do not see tactical in any of it's characteristics, unless you refer to the spearpoint designed tip....the satin and stonewash finish on the blade is very well done...some people will find this knife ideal for EDC and some will find it too large to fit that role.....in any case.....the Solo II should fit the bill for those looking for something smaller....tactical knives are not beautiful knives IMO, they look mean and aggressive....this one doesn't....it's beautifully designed and finished and lacks the ideal grip to be categorized as a tactical folder....though too big for a suit....it fits the bill well with jeans and khakis....Nice job on this one Boker, very nice....I would definitely recommend this knife to anyone looking for well designed piece of steel.....o'yeah, blade deployment is very smooth and quick if ya give it a little snap....no blade play here, up/down, left/right....lockup is tight! You have to see this blade in person to truly capture all of its stunning attention to details, color, and blade finish....I'll stop rambling now! Prices vary, so shop around for the best savings!
