From the Author
Who are our enemies, against whom we should fight in order to guard our sanctums of existence? Besides the natural forces, are there any other enemies who may be threatening our home? Is there any immediate calamity we need to give our attentions to? What is the direction in which we should move from where we find ourselves? Is there anywhere to go, or are we caught up in an accidental whirlwind of time, that may take us to paths not chosen by our limited understanding of ourselves? Mind cries to know the answers: Where are we really? Is God truly dead? Or is it only a bad dream and nothing else? Will there return any Divine being any day again, who will take away the fears and the despairs of existence being swirled by this meaningless whirling of the storms of time?
In this book I have sought answers to these questions. The source of my knowledge has been me, who is bigger than the man, who is limited by the ego-bound will and the events of the world. There exists a "higher being" who has spoken within me. In this book I shall present a discourse that originates from this Being, who has guided me since my childhood.
I have received this vision of an enlightened world from this inner guide. The ideas of this enlightened world have been presented in another book titled "Vision of An Enlightened World (A Cosmic Perspective)". In the present book I delve with the questions of the nature of the will and the world, and the role that any higher being may play in our life, as well as explain how this inner being may be conceived and understood. I present these thoughts in the background of the social-political situations in the world today, while subjecting them to the knowledge of science and technology, which I have been able to acquire during my life. The content is divided into two parts: Part one mainly focuses on the nature of human will, which throws lights in the happenings of history since the beginning of civilization till today. It also discusses the basis of belief, moral, and values which have directed human behavior in building and sustaining social structure and interactions in different periods of history. The values of love, compassion, solidarity, empathy, dialogue and cooperations compared to competitions, greed, selfishness, exploitations, treachery, lie and unethical conducts to achieve success and power are subjects discussed in the perspective of evolution and survival of the human specie. Rational explanations are sought in defining the issue of evil and good, the meaning of life and death, and distinguishing happiness and suffering of life. These values and visions are projected from the perspective of my understanding that the creation of the universe bears a meaning in all existence.
What is that meaning, and how life on Earth can attune itself to this meaning, and human beings may build a foundation of a new social-political order on the basis of this understanding has been the main purpose of my other book "Vision of An Enlightened World", which complements the contents of this book.
In part two, more practical questions have been addressed, which may help the new generation to take actions and decisions as to how to react to the forces that may wish to mold their life and define its meaning. It will give them reflective insights into the way the will and world may encroach upon their personal territories and try to take hold of the destiny of their life in pathways which may be against the values and visions they do not desire. It is a guide for bringing change and building a new world where the higher-man may rise and triumph.
In the end of part II I have also added "GITA OF THE WILL AND THE WORLD," which I wrote about 17 years ago. The writing of this section, in a stark contrast with the intellectual analysis reflected in the rest of the writing, has risen through a mental process where intellectual interference on my side has been totally absent. During the writing of this section the ego-bound mind had not played any part. Instead, it was overwhelmed by a mental state, which one may call ghostly. This ghostly writer was outside the sphere of reasoning where the will-bound intellect conceives ideas and create thoughts. This abnormal writing had emerged while mind had submitted itself to a process in the brain, that I can not explain. It was like loosing oneself to a ghostly being, who has made use of the mind, which I call mine, to send the messages, which are not easy to decipher by using the intelligence and intellect I possess. However, I add it in this book to remind the readers that the same human existence is the origin of both mental processes - one is normal and driven by human intelligence and intellect, and the other is abnormal and driven by a ghostly power emerging through the mind. It has sometimes spoken as Man, sometimes as Man-God, and sometimes as God. All these are beyond comprehension by using normal way of thinking and arguing. If not they are any words of God, at least they reveal a peculiar aspect of activities of human brain.
From the Inside Flap
For many the tension between individual freedom and desire to satisfy one`s ego, while seeking self- development in one side, and make comprise and sacrifice as respect for others` need for freedom and development as well, which require sharing and cooperation on the other side, has determined much of the dilemma to decide what is right or wrong. To take responsible roles, which may serve the interests of all by curtailing the desires to fulfill one`s personal need and greed, have been a major issue of moral for many societies. Moreover, the variations in mental capacities, different environmental constraints and the cultural climate, in which one may live, impart values and impose social rules about how to practice them in different situations. Thus, individualism creates a complex social maze, where morality is perceived differently by different persons. Many young people these days claim that morality depends on personal judgment about what one feels as right or wrong, rather than something which is delivered from above as true for all. The book deals with this complexity of the moral issue in social behaviors and tries to throw lights on it from rational understanding of the cosmos and the biological science. It attempts to penetrate deep into difficult questions of sociology, psychology and philosophy as well. It also has a part which would interest people who wish to explore the realm of spirituality as the foundation of moral uni versalism.
