I really love the first game (This pack holding the Game Of The Year edition no less) and I've never played the Second game, so when I saw this for only $15 ($5 less than the first game by itself on Steam), I immediately jumped on and bought the games. They did not disappoint.

The games themselves are a riot to play, with fast-paced jokes, insanely chaotic battles and a couple Million guns to choose from, you'll have a ton of fun. Not to mention the quality of the DLC that comes with the GOTY edition in the first game, these DLC packs have even more of this to keep you coming back for more. The only two problems I have with this game are the missions: Most are fine, but some focus too much on "Go here, kill 5 Bandits, come back" or "Go here, get this item, come back" and the other problem being that the first game is very grind-y: I don't think it possible to beat the game without going back and clearing out old dungeons to gain more EXP, although the GOTY does come with Mad-Moxxi's Under-dome DLC, which is great for grinding. The second game doesn't suffer from this as much, but you might still find yourself grinding out a bit of EXP for a higher level. Speaking of the Under-Dome DLC in the first game, this DLC is obviously the Odd-Man (Mutant?) out here if you're not playing with 4 friends. The rest work fine solo (Ever been a lone gunman as Mordecai?) but this one's a bit too geared for Co-Op, that and the first game don''t have the GREATEST of matchmaking so you might get a few people WAY below your level or WAY higher than you. Other than these, the games are fine and I had a lot of fun revisiting the first and enjoying the second for the first time thanks to this amazing pack!

To download these after you buy them, Amazon gives you a small .txt file in your orders to download that you then put into your Steam account (Any person into PC gaming should have one, an account is free if you don't have one yet.) at the bottom of your library where it says "activate a game on Steam". Copy and Paste the code from that .txt file into there and your games will be there for you to download. It will take a while to download them, considering the size of the games. More for you to enjoy, eh?

Ill review downloading the game, then the game itself.

Getting the game is quite simple, you download it first from amazon, then you can link it to steam. Nice, easy process and to the point.

I am only playing the first one at the time, and this game is fantastic. If you like Fallout 3 or New Vegas, you'll love this game. It is somewhat traditonal, but definately has it own twist and style. Other than the art, the gameplay is great. The class system I think is implemented great, as you can purchase to reset assigned skillpoints.

The game itself is always going unless you save and then load. When you die you "reanimate" and the penalty instead of progress is a percentage of your money and your level.(Higher level- worth more to reanimate ) This I think is fantastic as you don't have to constantly retry a section.

The only thing I don't like is the way to connect for multiplayer. If you want to play online with someone else(Not local), you have to use Gamespy. I like to consider myself more than an average gamer, but I still cant wrap my mind around using gamespy even with tutorials

I bought this for 11 dollars. Worth it? VERY much so. Espicially with the GOTY edition for the first one. (Keys are given when you add to steam)

These games are always on sale and you should grab em when you can cos they are just amazing and NO NO NO you shouldn't just et Borderlands 2 because Borderlands 2 carry's the story and characters from the first BUT the only downside of these games are that their story line start to finish for Borderlands 1 is about 60 hours and even more for Borderlands 2 which from start to finish is about 100 hours combined that is 160 hours although if you can handle it THIS IS A MUST HAVE FOR ANY GAMER!

If you like shooters and have some friends to play with buy it. Its a fun game to play with few buddies that includes some RPG elements like leveling up and equipment that reminds me of diablo(one could have different stats based on its level and how lucky you get). The first one is better in the overall feel of the game but both could be fun. The only con is that after a while u been to most places two or three times and it all starts to feel very repetitive. Could clock in more than 20 hours on each game without getting bored.

Totally insane duo of games with a solid shooter at its core. Borderlands and its DLC have provided me with hundreds of hours of quality gameplay and I will most likely spend even more since customization makes this game extremely re playable.
Borderlands 2 builds on this with even more insane characters and the return of the best characters from the first game including your heroes.Between shift codes and regular DLC this is a game that will not turn dull in any foreseeable future.

Works on steam perfectly and the games themselves are really interesting and action packed! I would recommend this to anyone, especially when its on sale for $12!

EDIT: After playing quite a bit alone and with friends, I must say that this game plays a lot better when you play with friends. Therefore I would recommend you make sure you have friends who either already have this game or are getting it with you before buying it, as playing alone can get tiresome.

Amazon delivered the codes really fast, and they worked with Steam without any issues. The graphics are amazing, the worlds are vast and very different with adds to the entertainment. The characters are funny and interesting along with the story line. If you are an open world RPG fan and a first person shooter fan, this game combines the two elements flawlessly and made the game more rewarding. The weapons are really awesome and I like the way the loot is distributed and also how you can find items by exploring. I would highly recommend gicing these games a chance!

I didn't think a game could get much better than Borderlands 1, Especially the fantastic Zombie Island of Dr. Ned expansion pack, but Borderlands 2 shattered my expectations and completely blew my mind. Some of the best games I've ever played hands down, and my husband and I LOVE to co-op them with our friends on Steam! We've only had the games for about 2 months and have already racked up over 100 hours on both games. You won't regret this download. GET IT NOW!

Borderlands 1 and 2 are games that are great to fill time. They aren't the kind of games that get easier as you go on because you're getting better, they're the games that will gradually "up the ante" as you do. Both games have their own play-through systems that scale the difficulty up as you go, increasing the damage and health of enemies until it's almost unfair with each run of the game that you do. This keeps the game fresh and keeps you on your feet. The game will not pull punches.
