Would buy again!
Sub is 2 Ohms with both voice coils wired at same time.
Sub is 4 Ohms with only one, doesn't matter which.
I also recommend using a 14 gauge High Quality Super Flex wire better.
Note: Lower the gauge the bigger and better it is.
I have had these for more than 3 months. I have to say that the other reviewers did something wrong. It is blatantly obvious when these start to overheat and burn because of the loud cracking noises they produce when they hit too high temp. I have with 5000 watts in a box that was about .785 cubic feet used these and had NO troubles at all. These subs need at least a 1.95 cubic ft box to be ported, and if I could do it in a .785 cubic ft box, then yall did something wrong. They sound great, very clear deep sound and not only can you hear your music, you can feel it too (not sphincter jostling, but it'll make you grin like an idiot). I still reccomend these, because I know that if you research a bit about how to use audio equipment it works miracles. To you who failed to use these properly: the use of acoustics is better than psycho acoustics and high power. Look up the La Scala by Klipsch for a 10watt speaker that is the second best in the world.
I've had these for quite a while now, and have found a few more tips to make these sound as good as possible, first off I have both wired into a 50 watt mono PSW10 amp at 8 ohms each creating a 4 ohm total for the amp (which is rated for 8 at the lowest), second I have them in a smaller sized box with 1-2 lbs of poly-fil in them, and third, by reversing the subs so the magnets face outward and removing the plastic outer rim I have found that these subs work EXTREMELY well this way. I have managed to have the subs sound output reach about 3500-4000 feet away from their location feeding them 25 watts a piece. These subs haven't given me any issues and have worked better than most pioneer subs have, for the xmax of these subs, its 9mm, but I have hit 15mm without distortion by lowering my low pass crossover to about 95-100 Hz. I'd still recommend these to anyone, especially avid audiophiles. I did all the installing and work myself, speakers aren't that hard to install and maintain, and if a professional messes it up, then he's an amateur.
