Product Description

If You Are Frustrated With LEGO Mess And Sick And Tired Of Those Lego Bricks All Over The Floor You Are Going To Love The Award Winning BOX4BLOX.

Voted "Best Kids Gift Idea" in Santa Choice Awards; "Best Home Organizing Product of the Year" by the National Association of Professional Organizers; and recipient of the coveted "Award of Excellence" by the Toy Man, who rated the BOX4BLOX "The ultimate Lego storage idea that turns your every day Lego mess into organizational magic".

Invented by a Mom of four kids, this simple invention is guaranteed to solve all your Lego problems and get that LEGO disaster zone off your floor, once and for all!

Let's face it, it is not only all about the Lego mess, but: how many times have you stepped on that sharp Lego piece?; or had to retrieve that Lego part from the vacuum cleaner?; or the kids have had trouble finding or have lost parts from expensive Lego sets?

How The BOX4BLOX Works

By utilizing the same simple sorting concept as a coin sorter, the BOX4BLOX is made up of four trays with small, medium and large grids on a base tray, plus a lid. Just remove the lid and load handfuls of Legos into the top tray, gently shaking and occasionally tilting the box to keep some grids exposed. The Lego pieces are quickly sorted into a tray with similar sized pieces, with: large parts in the top yellow tray; medium to large in the blue tray; medium to small bricks in the red tray and all those hard to find bits and pieces ending up in the bottom tray. When it is time to play, just unstack the trays, giving each tray a stir with your hand as you go and all the Lego pieces can be easily found without having to tip them all over the floor, effectively eliminating all your Lego hassles!

On it's own I give it two stars. After I "modified" it I give it four stars.
This was a great idea but it needs improvement. First, I feel it is overpriced. I only got it because I had some amazon points sitting around waiting to be used. Second, while the idea of sorting the pieces by size is exactly what I was looking for, this does not do a great job. However, I think it would be more effective if they eliminated the largest holed section and put in a section even smaller than the existing smallest section. Long explanation to follow.
A few things I do like about it- it stacks well, holds a decent amount of Lego bricks and seems very sturdy/durable.

The holes are the following sizes: yellow: 7/8", blue: just under 3/4", red: 1/2" (green just catches the rest)

When we got this we put all my boys LEGO blocks through it. We have several Star Wars sets and a couple LEGO JR. sets. About 40% ended up in the bottom(green). Another 40% in the Red section. About 15% in the Blue and Yellow. The last 5% I left for the very large pieces that have no need to be sorted because you can easily pick them out yourself. I was very disappointed because what I really wanted to be able to find are those little tiny skinny 1x1,1x2, button and similar pieces. This sorter did not help with finding those.

I created a grid with plastic and tape that when placed in the Yellow section makes holes that are 3/8". When we put that between the red and green sections, half of what was previously in the bottom was now in the "new" yellow section leaving (mostly) only those little tiny pieces in the bottom. This improvising to actually make it useful and my lack of motivation to ship it back are why we are keeping it.

I have four sons (ages 1 through teens), and we received a BOX4BLOX in exchange for our honest review. The consensus? We love it! My teenage son has a lot of teeny tiny Legos, and this container sorts all of his Legos by size using the grids on each level. It makes it much easier for him to find those small-but-critical pieces - instead of having to dump out the entire bin of Legos, he only needs to look in the bottom tray, where all the smallest pieces get filtered to. And my 9-year-old son likes picking up the Legos and shaking the container to make them fall through... and with all the Legos picked up, mom doesn't have to get on anyone's case about leaving them around where the toddler might get his hands (or mouth) on them. Now if only they'd come out with a container for the medium-sized blocks that are also scattered all over my house!

I'm 7 years old and got this for Christmas. I like it a lot, but there is a design problem. Since the trays have holes in them for small pieces to fall through, when you dump in the Legos, some of them fall through long ways even though they are too big to go through on their side. You still have to sort some of them with your hands.

This box is great for Legos. We had our Legos in a big Tupperware container that was constantly being dumped out in search of that one small piece somewhere on the bottom of the container. This box sorts the Legos from big to small and it makes it so much easier for my kids to find the pieces they're looking for. But the best part is they can do it all themselves since it sorts with a little shaking. Great purchase!

My little kid has just started to play with "big kid" LEGO and we had a plastic bin filled with all of his pieces. The problem was that he really couldn't get to all the small parts without dumping the bin because they all fell to the bottom. That is why were super excited to receive one of these bins to review. This bin has 4 trays with holes in the top three that get gradually smaller as you go down. This allows smaller pieces to fall to the bottom and be retrieved easily (working like a coin sorter).

The Box4Blox worked quite well for our LEGO collection, which is on the small to medium side. It is much easier for the little guy to play and he has not felt the need to dump anything out, yet! A couple other added bonuses are that it is Made in the USA and there are holes in the lid, to remove it, so I can drop pieces in that I find laying around the house without opening it!

The box is attractive, well made, and comes with a 5 year warranty. I recommend it to anyone who wants an easier way to organize LEGO or other building toys without having to hand sort everything.

I've been watching this for months, waiting for it to be in stock with prime shipping instead of the price gouging 3rd party sellers. Overall I'm very happy with it. We have a lot of sets that have very tiny pieces such as the Ghostbusters ECTO-1. We were basically just dumping everything in a giant bin and my son would dump everything onto the carpet. Could never find anything, pieces got lost, etc. This provides a great solution to sorting pieces. It's not an ultimate solution, especially if you have lots of lego, but consider it a tool rather than storage. If you are preparing to build, use it to sort your pieces, then lay the boxes side by side to easily find the pieces by size. After playing, use it to sort your pieces and then empty the boxes into larger storage bins for those size pieces. We have two large plastic units with drawers on wheels that we got a Walmart fairly cheap that we use for storage and we use this as a tool for sorting before and after play into the drawers. It's a huge time saver. And we do store stuff in it while working on a project. If you don't have a lot of lego, it works fine as storage.
