The first thing that stands out on them for me was the build quality. The metal housing is a really nice tough and something many budget IEM's will not offer. The non-tangle cord is excellent and tapping it doesn't give me any negative issues with the sound. The 45 degree angled 3.5mm plug is also a nice design touch.
The first thing I did was put on the comfy foam S-Series Comply tips that are included. This is another nice bonus, not many IEM's will include Comply foam tips. I've used these tips before and always felt that increased the sound quality and provided better isolation. I found this to be true yet again. I can't speak to the silicone tips, but they did come in various sizes so you can get that all important seal for your ears. They were very comfortable to wear and I've had them in for an hour or two at a time and didn't notice any negative affects. After a while I even had to check to see if they were still in because i couldn't tell (except for the music coming from them of course.) :-)
I primarily tested mine using mp3's purchased from Amazon played on my Samsung Galaxy S5 using Power Amp. I set a slighly V-shaped EQ with Static X off. Delta's have a very balanced sound which is nice for you to tweak how you want. They are not going to be for bass heads though. Don't think that means the bass is weak, there is a big difference between weak and balanced. These are balanced. With a coupld modifications to my EQ settings I found some very nice punchy bass that was clean and pleasant to listen to. Though they may lack slightly in bass response, the mids and highs are excellent and overall the sound is really very crisp and clear.
For a very affordable, comfortable IEM, the Brainwavz Delta's offer a well built product, excellent balanced sound and a comfortable fit. The included foam tips is a nice bonus. I would definitely suggest these to you if you are looking for just that and are not a bass head.
I'm basing my rating on price, sound quality, and construction, mostly. To be fair, I didn't give this earphone a fair competitive toe-to-toe comparison with others in its price range. However, if you'd like to know, I used my brother's old JVC Gumy's (7-8 bucks), Sony MDREX10LP(11-12 bucks), and an ATH-CKS55Bk (discontinued, retailed about 50, but got them for 30).
After comparison, I felt that for the price, the Deltas are where it should be (price-point wise) with having marginally better sound than the Sony's, and of course the JVC's. Against my Audio-Technicas, however, they fell kind of short, especially in the lower frequencies.
The Deltas lower frequency range, bass and mid-bass, is lacking and a bit muddy. It's "there" in the sense that it tries to play those frequencies, but it feels recessed and weak, not punchy. Also, in some songs I noticed that the high frequencies sound a bit shrill. If try to turn up the volume, it suffers even more, of course. The build of the product seems pretty good, I'll give it 5/5 for its price range. For now, at least.
I guess i had more of an expectation because of the Wirecutter and some others saying that this was the best you could get even in the ~$60 dollar price range.
Firstly, these earbuds have a very tinny sound. Too much treble, not enough base (and I don't generally pump up the base on my music).
Secondly, these earbuds broke after only 2.5 months of use. I am not certain what the cause was, since I only use these at work, while sitting at my computer. The sound is distorted in one of the ears, making them unusable.
I would like to get a replacement for this item, but they only have a 30 day replacement policy, as if they know that their product will not withstand the test of time.
I am very dissatisfied with this purchase.
*** (4/24/16) I have edited this post since I did not realize that these earbuds have a 24 month warranty. I apologize for my misunderstanding of the return policy.

PRO:
- prezzo
- suono nitido e piuttosto bilanciato
? - I bassi non sono pompati
However the main strength of these earphones doesn't come from their build or looks. The sound quality is really good, especially at the price point. Now, mind you, I am no "audiophile". And sound quality really comes down to personal taste (I think at least). I found the sound to be really well balanced. Not too much bass, which I find can be an issue on a lot of earphones. However, one thing I was really impressed with was the clarity. I thought that the clarity of the mids and the highs were surprisingly good, which for me is a really good selling point. One of the things that turns me off the most off of some earphones are muddy mids or a tinny treble. Those problems were not really there in these headphones.
Overall, I love these headphones. I would recommend them. The build quality (aside from the problem I had with mine) is decently solid, the foam earpiece was a nice inclusion. And the sound quality, especially at this price point, is really good.
So if you're looking at picking up a sub-$50 pair of earphones, I would highly recommend the Brainwavz Deltas.
Update: As the seller keeps sending me emails to review this product, I thought, well might as well. So as of this day, I have owned three pairs of Brainwavz Deltas. Two have been with the inline controls, one without (my first). I keep coming back to these earphones because the build quality is solid (the issue I had with my original ones did not resurface) and the sound quality is clear. Now that I think of it, I think the bass is a bit heavy for my taste, but nothing that can't be solved with tweaking the EQ. One thing that I really like doing with these is using them over ear. It let's them go deeper, allowing for more depth and noise isolation. Just something to consider.
Another thing that I'm really impressed with and have to give props to Brainwavz for is that over my three pairs, they've actually been including more stuff each time I've bought it. The last time I bought these, I even got a very nice carrying case. Doesn't really affected the headphones themselves, but it's nice to know that Brainwavz does seem to care.
For Canadians, these are a tad on the expensive side, in my opinion. But my second pair of these (in red) lasted me nearly a year of very heavy use, which for me, is well worth the cost.
