Shoddy material and bad packaging.

I should have read the reviews. I received the game in a ripped box. One of the bags holding the wicket connectors was ripped so they were everywhere and, basically, I could have lived with that but just inflated the balls and the red one popped before it was even half inflated!! This is a great concept especially for the little ones (no arguments with the wooden mallets) but this has shoddy material and packaging. Don't bother buying it, not worth the price.

The hoops will not get used as they are just plastic straws that fit together and I can think they would add anything. And the cloth lining over the balls do not add anything. Would not buy again.

This arrived packaged in a box without any writing. Obviously, this was one part of a larger set of games that was never meant to be sold separately. Additionally, the balls lasted for about three games. Essentially, it is worthless.

When I received this set in May, one of the "giant croquet balls" had a leak. As suggested, I contacted the seller, BSN Sports. They promptly offered to replace the whole set. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, a replacement couldn't be shipped for quite some time. True to their word though, I received a replacement set with no defects. It actually arrived several days earlier than they had predicted. Great follow-through.

wickets don't stay together

Love the concept. Like others said, definitely use a regular-size soccer ball, not the big ones that come with the set (by the way , the big balls I received were solid red and blue, a nice sheen to the material but no stripes. The only disappointment for me was that the wickets pop apart of knock over so easily. I recently saw giant wickets made out of pool noodles on the Family Fun website. I think I will try to make those instead for playing kick croquet.

Wow - I just learned something about Amazon that I didn't know - the 'closed return window'. Ordered this item in advance for an event and just went to set it up and found that the pegs to keep the wickets in the ground were missing which essentially renders the game useless. But it seems I missed the 'return window' for this so there's nothing Amazon will do for me. They even suggest selling items you miss the return window on but obviously this can't be sold since it's missing some pieces. I was an avid Prime user but I think I will restrict my purchases to books and very inexpensive items from now on.
