This item is NOT an official's penalty flag! First, the size is NOT 15"x15" as described, it is significantly smaller. Second, it is NOT bright yellow, it is more of a pastel Easter yellow; it's the color of weak lemonade. Basically, there is little chance that this flag would be visible on the field which is probably a good thing because it is such a joke that any official who dares to throw it would be laughed at, and rightly so. I don't know how in the world this product has such a high rating or why Amazon thought it worth recommending.

Not the material/quality I was expecting. The tail of the flag is much smaller than what was expected/ shown in the picture. It is fun to through though when someone deserves a penalty, just wish it was more realistic to actual flags in football

If you're a football nerd like me, you take your passion seriously. I bought one of these flags so when I'm hanging out with friends, watching the game, we can pick this little baby up and toss it in the air and scream that our team just got jacked by a stupid ref. Armchair quarterbacking is complete now that we can play referee in our own home.

It's very easy to put together as it just comes as a flat sheet of fabric with a packet in the middle that serves as the ball at the end of the flag. Just twist it up and tie a rubber band and you're set.

I suppose this would work for actual football referring, too, so if you're going for a referee's license, this may not be a bad little guy to have around :)

Not legit for officaiting

I was in a pinch and needing a second flag. All the officiating sites take forever to deliver and I thought I could just get one from here. NO! Tiny and so off-color that I didnt even put it in my gearbag. More of a novelty. Officials, don't get for calling games!
