Radio works well, no big complaints here. I have read the reviews and all of the "buggy" software complaints have been resolved with updates. I have an Anytone 878 and like the Btech more. As far as complaints of direct conversion receiver, I believe all the Chinese dual-banders have the same type receivers and this has not been an issue for me. The radio has a great display, holds the entire DMR database, has long battery life, and is easy to use. My only complaints are the lack of a quick charger, and the poor editing features of the CPS software. Coping and or moving blocks of channels is not possible, one line at a time only. I like the editing features of "Chirp" which does not work with this radio at this time. Enjoy!

The BTECH DMR-6X2 is the most versatile dual-band DMR radio available. Designed for both amateur and commercial usage with its large, bright 1.77" color TFT display. The DMR-6X2 can store 4,000 Channels with 10,000 Talk Groups and 200,000 Contacts.
The frequency range is 136-174MHz and 400-480 MHz. The DMR-6X2 has a maximum output of 7W on VHF, and 6W on UHF. The DMR-6X2 includes a built in GPS and audio recorder.
The DMR-6X2 is a true dual slot DMR radio compatible with DMR Tier I & 2.

DMR Digital Store & Forward RepeaterThe DMR-6X2 has a built in recording chip which is utilized in the Store and Forward Repeater Mode (Not compatible in Analog mode) Once toggled the DMR-6X2 will store and forward conversations on the same band or even as a cross band repeater. It records the incoming audio and once the signal drops - it will forward the audio to the assigned frequency (and vice versa). The DMR-6X2 will even allow you to store and forward on the same frequency. The Store and Forward repeater can be assigned as a side key function from programming software. Adjustable Scanning FeaturesThe DMR-6X2 allows you to be in full control of your channel scanning lists. With up to 250 channels in a zone (and up to 4,000 channels in the radio); the ability to adjust your scanning bank (by adding or grouping scanning channels (and banks) together) allows you to have the perfect adjustment to the size of your channel list. Additional HighlightsWe tried to think of the simplest way to use the DMR-6X2; even down to how text messaging works. Instead of going through a menu to reply when you get a text message; you can simply hit reply to the received text message. As a radio designed and focused for USA businesses and consumers; the DMR-6X2 uses imperial (versus metric) measurements while using the GPS display modes. Using your favorite talk groups in DMR is now easier. By manually dialing a talk group, the DMR-6X2 will hold the talk group indefinitely until you change the channel. You can also set your maximum talk group hold time to 'infinity' while communicating with your favorite group or user (avoiding 'timing out'). In Analog mode the DMR-6X2 allows for CTCSS (PL/Privacy Tones), DCS, 2-Tone, DTMF, and 5-Tone. You can use multiple 5Tone, 2Tone, and DTMF receive and transmit groups for different channels (allowing commercial users to use several tone profiles from one radio). |
