Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

My dad loves flashlights and was telling me about the smaller version of this light, which he said was suprisingly bright for its size. So I had to check out the larger one, and while I don't know that it's necessarily brighter than many other LED flashlights, it works great. One thing it does do is that it seems to have a pretty wide "throw" in terms of projecting light in a wider area. I leave it in my garage and grab it if I need light in my yard in the dark. The magnetic bottom is very useful, though on occasion it does struggle to hold the weight of this flashlight, which is solid metal construction. I dropped it directly on the part where the light comes out, but it did not crack or chip.
Very bright. Can be useful in tight spaces where a lot of light is needed. I have several of the smaller 170s, but never hurts to have a Big Brother. The magnetic base is strong enough to remain stable in a horizontal position. Click once for 400L, again for 160L, and again for flashing-red.
Trivia: Box states that 400L = 4.5 hours and 160L = 15 hours (battery strength/quality will probably vary, etc). And, yes, this version has the belt clip that the magnetic base can attach to, and a light-up key chain.
Provides a bright white light, high and low settings give the right light for the task. Strong magnetic base will support this light in any position (unlike the knock-off copies)
not as bright as I would like it to be, the switch doesn't work well causing the light to flicker when using it, and the base magnet could be stronger to keep it in place.
Bought one for me. Love it. Bought another for my grandson in the Navy. The rare earth magnet and wide casting light is perfect for hands free use. Need one for each vehicle now. Use mine in my shop every day.
The 400 lumen flood beam is very bright for a working light. I love the 2 brightness modes, and the flood beam is flawless. There are 2 things I don't like about this light. The light cycles from high-low-red blinking. When it goes into the red blink mode, it really blinds me and makes it hard for me to readjust my eyes. I think it should be accessed through long pressing the switch or double clicking the switch. Secondly, the switch is placed on top. I prefer to hold this light with my fingers in a "thumbs up" gesture. The power switch is not within reach of my thumb. Holding it with my index finger over the switch doesn't give me a very solid grip on it unless i put my finger over the lens. If I'm wearing dirty mechanic gloves, I would hate to smear grease over the light. Giving 4 stars for the build quality, brightness, strong magnet. It doesn't get a perfect rating for me because I would like the red flashing mode to be a "hidden" feature and the awkward switch placement.
