My favorite cooking appliance!

The model I received is a "Showtime +" (although that term is absent on the page); it is wonderful. I'm into healthy, flavorful cooking. This is the perfect rotisserie to accomplish that ~ and without the fear of blowing up the neighborhood with a gas BBQ model. Just take a 5 lb. chicken, stuff it with cut lemons, garlic, onions, fresh rosemary, thyme and sage. It sits on the provided platform, anchoring the bird and making the prep easy. Generously season outside of chicken with seasoned salt and pepper and truss. One hour, 15 minutes later, dinner is served. Very thoughtful design, even the cooking chart is posted on the outside of the unit (time and lbs.) It runs smoothly and has a "pause" feature to allow touch up on the seasonings. After, it cools quickly (I just leave the chicken in for another 10-15 min.) and is very easy to clean. Chicken is served in its own juices. Serious protective gloves included. Couldn't be simpler! You'll love this!

Paint flaking and Poor Service

I purchased this for my dad and after a few uses, the paint on the gear wheels began to flake off onto the food. He called Ronco and they claimed they did not receive his warranty information that he had mailed 3 weeks earlier, and therefore could not help him. I called Customer Service myself and was told the same thing - no warranty information so no help. I was told to call their Corporate Office which I did. The line was busy for days. I emailed Ronco and received an automatic reply that said I would be contacted regarding my email in 24 to 48 hours. I received a reply email ONE MONTH LATER! The problem is still not resolved....

You can cook a pretty good chicken in this rotisserie that tastes better than the ones you can buy precooked in your local deli. It is effortless to prepare the chicken and easy to clean the oven. I wait about 1/2 hour after the chicken is done to allow the oven and chicken to cool before removing. This works really well. The size of this oven is perfect for a one chicken meal that feeds a family of 4 or 5 people easily. I have a huge kitchen and would not want a rotisserie bigger than this "compact" one.

I have cooked a whole chicken, pork chops, kabobs, hamburgers, pork roast and beef roast so far and have loved every one of them! The biggest shock was the beef round roast because they are lean and tend to be tough and I did not have high expectations of the outcome. I was wrong! It was the best round roast I have ever had in my life. Clean up is also a breeze. I highly recommend this product.

I paid 93.00 for this just a week ago and now it is 69.00. I could kick myself for even entertaining the thought of buying a Ronco product. Not only did I pay too much for it, it is a very unimpressive appliance. Sure, it can cook up a nice bird, but the construction is sub-par and feels cheap. It reminds me of a big tin can. I do not like how the door maneuvers and feel this thing is a fire hazard. In addition, when I opened the amazon box in which the rotisserie box was packed in, the rotisserie box had clearly been opened and taped back up. Mine was pretty beat up and missing the instruction booklet and cd that was supposed to be with it. All packing Styrofoam was torn up.

Size and Product Picture miss match

I had a Romco oven that wore out. I went online and purchased a new one. I would have thought that the one I was buying was the same size as my old one because it showed a picture of the oven cooking 2 chickens. When I recieved the oven it is much smaller than the one pictured. It will hardly hold one small chicken, let alone two. I would not advise anyone to purchase this product.
