This desk is almost exactly what I wanted. Simple design, looks good, plenty of space. I bought two and created a semi-circle; this provides room for my 3 24" monitors on my main system as well as a fourth 22" monitor on a secondary computer, with room to spare. When LED-backlit 30" panels finally come out I'll be stepping up to at least 2 of those; I have no doubt they will fit fine, or that even three would.
Pros include beautiful, sturdy, good space, good cable management, curve where you sit is really excellent. Exactly what I was looking for.
Cons: I couldn't attach a fairly standard monitor arm base to the back left or right left, where I wanted to put them. I put my middle monitor arm through the far back corner cable hole, and that worked well for one monitor. I had to put my left and right monitor arms further up toward the front, where the left and right main "legs" of the desk stop, and the desk is open underneath. Past that, and around the desk, is only about 2" of "clampable" desk area underneath. I also didn't need to get all three monitors on monitor arms, as there is plenty of space to just use regular monitor stands, even on three monitors. I have a ridiculous amount of space because of all monitors on arms, though, which I love. I hate clutter on my desk, so I'm very happy.
Also, shipping/getting it into my apartment was a pain. The thing weighs around 110 pounds. I helped the UPS driver haul it up to my apartment, and putting the desk together took a long time, though it wasn't overly difficult. It's not enough to take off any stars. The desk is absolutely worth muscling it into place after putting it together for a couple hours. It's possible it will get a few scratches in shipping, but mine arrived just fine.
Overall, awesome desk. Make sure you have space using the picture with measurements (super handy image by the way, "Bush Furniture").
Overall, I am really happy. I ordered 2 side desks as well so now I have a MegaDesk (tm) and I really feel like I'm in my very own command center! I think I spent less than $600 shipped for 3 of these desks and they are all extremely nice. Everyone is very surprised by how nice they are.
WARNING: The packaging is not always perfect. I sent back one of the desks because the top had been severely damaged in shipping. Highly annoying, but Amazon quickly resolved the issue and offered a refund and to keep the damaged desk or get a replacement - I chose the replacement, they paid for shipping. I would recommend waiting to take your old desk down until you've ensured your new one is in good shape.
I needed a new unit for the corner, so I placed an order for one on 2/24/2014.
I received it on 2/20/2014.
Most of the parts were damaged. Two of the side panels, one of the back panels, the TOP, were all "dinged" or worse and one of the plastic wire chases was smashed flat. The Top was missing two large chunks from the surface.
The padding in the shipping box was cheap, thin styrofoam that had completely disintegrated into those annoying pellets and did nothing to protect the items.
I called CYMAX as soon as I received the desk and immediately requested replacement parts. CYMAX doesn't have parts in stock and has to order them from Bush. I went through a long and convoluted process to initiate the replacements including taking pictures of all the damaged parts and emailing them to CYMAX.
Today (3/7/2014) I get a package from them that contains some of the parts but is MISSING THE TOP. I sent them pictures for god's sake. I gave them the EXACT PART NUMBERS from the manual.
They DID remember to send me an email asking to remove my negative feedback as the issue was now "resolved".
It's not. I'm requesting a full refund or a new unit be shipped. It's been almost a month since I placed the order and as far as CYMAX is concerned everything is great. Except I don't have a desk. I do have a hole in my checking account, and a pile of crap in the corner of my office.
Buyer beware, this company sucks.
In this order, there were a couple of small issues. The finish was marred in a few places that are not normally visible. That's not a problem, per se, but it suggests declining quality control. Also, the instructions were missing from one of the shipped pieces. (Fortunately, old instructions received with a previous buy sufficed.) [I've posted this review for each piece that I bought.]
