Product Description

Max accuracy and reliability to master every tactical scenario. We took the bedrock precepts behind every riflescope we build – optical precision, rugged reliability and uncompromising performance – and pushed them ever farther for the AR-platform.

The Bushnell AR Optics 3-9x 40mm Bullet Drop Compensating (BDC) Reticle riflescope with side parallax focus features target turrets for pinpoint-precise adjustments, plus caliber-specific reticle to deliver every round with peerless accuracy. Drop Zone-223 BDC reticle is calibrated for 55-62 grain, 223 REM/5.556 loads. Zeroes at 100 yards, with aiming points out to 500 yards. Fully multi-coated optics for incredible brightness, and fast focus eyepiece deliver maximum accuracy and reliability. Nitrogen purged to remove any vestige of internal moisture, and O-ring sealed to prevent the entry of dust or moisture. Made of high-durability aluminum alloy, anodize-finished and sealed to protect the inside from elements. Riflescope is rustproof, virtually scratchproof and a beautiful complement to even the most expensive AR platform firearm.

Please note that the scope’s erector cap assembly (located on the bottom of the scope windage and elevation control housing) may limit the possibility to use extra-low or low scope rings on AR Optics riflescopes. Most commonly, medium height rings provide the clearance necessary to eliminate contact with the cap and the scope base or receiver on most firearms. Please check the clearance necessary on your individual firearm prior to selecting scope rings.

I got this scope on my del ton (i uploaded pics on here) and its a really good scope for the price. If i could do it again i would get the 3-9x40 because 12 power is a bit much and sometimes if its not really bright out its not super clear past 9x. It holds a zero and is very solid feeling but it really weighs down my rifle, i tried the 1-4x24x ar optics and hated it, the adjustable parallax made a huge difference for me. I give this scope 4.5 stars and if you are putting it on a 16" carbine i might take a look at a 2-7 burris fullfield e1 unless you dont care about the weight. and the only thing about this scope that i found to be sort of wrong was the turrents dont click as solid on this one like the 1-4x24 but they stay in place so i dont really care and the eye relief, it is about 1/2" to long, i dont shoot with my nose on the charging handle like alot of guys and its mounted on the 2nd to last rail to the front, that might be an issues if you shoot with your nose on the charging handle. otherwise its a good scope.

So, as a grunt and 4th award expert marksman in the Marine Corps I have a naturally high bar for optics and accuracy. The preferred optic as many of you know is the Trijicon ACOG which for us was a fixed 4x with radiation illuminated chevron reticle. This AR Optics 3-9x40 is outstanding. So when on the hunt for a new optic I felt sort of screwed, no way can I find anything build to the quality of my currently used eotech, for less money. I thought I'd take a risk and spring for something that was only released a year ago. This thing blew me away. I took it out of the box and went to use the sky to adjust my parallax. No need for that because the clarity and crispness achievable with the side focus nob. Yea I know they call it side parallax but adjusting the rear quick focus is actually more so a parallax adjustment. This thing is a hell of an optic, way worth the money and then some. Clarity is as good as my issued acog, Variable zoom is smooth and firm, don't torque your rings too close to the adjustment nobs, the scope doesn't like it. I have to admit that I'm a bit disgruntled that bushnell does not provide the information on range estimating using the dots or posts. If anyone has this information I would greatly appreciate the time saved going out and doing the math myself. All in all an outstanding optic, will buy another one.

Install and zeroing were pretty easy. I bought this and the Millett 1 piece mount sold as a combo here on Amazon. The mount allowed forward offset to improve eye relief on my flat top AR. Eye relief (real world) is around 4 inches. The eyepiece is large and the optics art crisp. Both eyes open works great. Not as crisp as the Nikon I have in the same price range but acceptable. There is both a focus and a parallax adjustment to make sure you get the cross-hairs in sharp focus which is nice. The turrets are a little mushy and don't give good tactile feedback but are acceptable. The zoom has no stops which I don't really like and it's pretty high effort which may be the price for a weather seal on this scope. Adjust zoom requires a firm grip on rifle because even with bipod, you need good leverage to change it. So far, it has held a crisp zero through 40 shots and the MOA system is nice for no shoot ranging. This is a good varmint scope IMHO. If it stays as good as it has been while new, I will be very happy.

I bought this for my S&W M&P15, I went to the range today to sight it in, it sighted in with no problem, everything works as it should, scope adjustments were precise & once dialed in it held zero through many mags., eye relief was very good as well. It's a great scope for the price & I believe it works as well as scopes costing much more. I highly recommend it

Got it mounted to my SDR (squad designated rifle)M4. Optics is nice and clear, Only able to put about 60rds down range and it seems to be holding true. Bore sighted it at home but when I got to the range boy was it off. Try to get it sighted in at 100yrds, nope not even hitting paper. Moved to 50yrds and was able to get it on paper. Now that its sighted in for 100 use the BDC at the 200yrd steel and....BING, Dead on!
To use the side paralex correctly you need to be at 9 power for perfect focus. People need to read direction, clearly states that in the direction
Only downside is that there is no way to lock down turrets after sighting in. I just reset the turrets to zero after sighting in at 100 so all i have to do is check to see zero and I should be god to go.

I was a little worried about ordering this scope because I hadn't seen any reviews on it. Let me say I was not disappointed! this scope is amazing! The parallax adjustment knob allows you to have a crystal clear sight at any distance and any zoom. I am blown away at the quality of this scope in this price range. I would highly recommend this scope.

This is a awesome scope, the glass is crystal clear and the magnification is very impressive. The BDC reticle is pretty close to perfectly on for the 55-62 grn rounds. I would gladly buy this scope again.
