48v only input and output which can be converted down with a 24v converter from ubiquiti
powers a ubiquiti cam and a ubiquiti access point without issue , i will find out if it can also power a mikrotik switch in the next couple days

UPDATE: I've lowered my 4 star rating to 1 star after the BV-TECH repeater almost damaged one of my cameras. I had two cameras and an IR light connected to the switch, all of which drew a total of 18.88W of power from a PoE+ power source with a 30W limit. After a power cycle, I noticed one of the cameras and IR light (both connected to the same port of the repeater) didn't turn on. I re-plugged the ethernet cable to the repeater and all devices worked correctly. I started repeating the re-plugging test and on more than 1 out of 3 tries, one or both of the repeater ports didn't power its devices properly. At one point the repeater was powering both output ports on and off about once per second. This caused the IR light to flash on and off on one port, and on the other port the motorized lens on the camera lens kept running back and forth during its boot range test. It took me a few minutes to go outside and find out why the video wasn't coming on, during which time the almost continually running motor on the lens heated up till it was burning to the touch. If it had continued like that I'm sure the motor would have failed or melted the plastic it was attached to. I switched to using a CyberData repeater (mentioned later) and it got through 10 re-plugging tests with no device problems. In one of the tests, a camera didn't turn on for about 20 seconds but booted properly after the delay, which I think implies the CyberData repeater is handling any glitches or power surge problems far more gracefully. I would rather keep the BV-TECH switch because it's so much smaller (the CyberData barely fits in the enclosure and squishes cables to do so) but I can't risk my cameras so will be returning the BV-TECH. I also found that the BV-TECH gets very hot passing 18.88W while the CyberData gets only lukewarm - this may imply higher quality components inside CyberData.

WARNING: Although you can power this switch using PoE mode A or B, the devices powered by its output ports can only be powered using PoE mode B. This wasn't clear in the original product description, but the seller altered the description to make it more clear (though perhaps not as clear as it could be). In mode B, power is supplied using the four unused wires in 10 or 100 megabit Ethernet cables. In mode A, power is supplied using the same 4 wires that deliver 10/100mb ethernet data. Unfortunately I happen to have a device (a cheap PoE circuit board sized for a "board camera" from China) that supports only PoE mode A. Plugging this device in to the repeater does not power the device or turn on the lights of the repeater.

I was able to verify both output ports work by plugging in two other camera devices, both of which receive power and correctly deliver their images to the video server. Thus this repeater is perfect for running two low-power PoE cameras that are close together off one wire back to the server.

It's not entirely clear how much power the repeater can pass through to end devices but I think it's 30W per device (60W total). The instructions say "Max Input Current: 0.7A/1.4A" and "up to 30W in total PoE output if injects by high power PSE such as PI300". 48V times 0.7A = 33.6W so it seems logical that it draws 0.7A (33.6W) to power one device, or 1.4A (67.2W) to power two devices, and delivers 30W of power to each connected device after some conversion losses. On the other hand, PI300 is only supposed to supply 60W at 56V so pulling 66W from it may overload it, thus I'm dubious you could actually draw 30W from both output ports. Keep in mind that most PoE power supplies conform to the IEEE 802.3af standard which specifies power limit per port at 15.4W, or to the newer 802.3at (PoE Plus) standard which limits power to 25.5W per port. The PI300 device that claims to supply 60W apparently is not following any standard and may cause problems with ethernet cable overheating depending on your cable type and length.

Unfortunately there are a lot of losses in all the power conversion PoE does so I had a lot of trouble powering a camera and IR light at the same time. I used a conventional amp meter and a clamp amp meter which both showed my IR light draws 0.638A when plugged into the 12V power output of an active PoE splitter at the end of the line. 12V * 0.638A = 7.6W. One of the IP cameras draws 0.108A * 12V = 1.296W. At a total of 8.9W, the two devices should easily run on a 15.4W PoE source, but just after the camera clicks its IR-cut filter off, the lights on the BV-TECH switch go out for about 5 seconds, then come back on. It took some doing but I separated the wires of an ethernet cable between the PoE power source and the BV-TECH switch and measured 0.286A at 47.25V = 13.51W. This is getting close to the 15.4W limit of the PoE switch and apparently the camera draws more power after its IR-cut filter snaps, which overloads the switch and the switch cuts power for 5+ seconds. So devices that should draw 8.9W are actually drawing 15.3W (as I found out later) due to conversion losses in the BV-TECH switch and in the two active PoE splitter that convert 48V PoE to 12V.

I also tried CyberData 2-Port PoE Gigabit Switch and it had the same problem. The CyberData switch is labeled as 0.4A at up to 57V input and 0.35A output. This implies a power conversion efficiency of 3.5/4 = 0.875 and also implies the switch can only draw 0.4A * 56V = 22.4W which is less than the PoE+ specification can output (it can output 30W). By contrast, BV-TECH is supposed to accept up to 60W. I eventually purchased a (PoE+) injector that can supply up to 25.5W and, ironically, my devices use 15.3W (almost the exact limit of standard PoE) once the camera finishes booting and the IR light is on. With the PoE+ injector, both the BV-TECH and the CyberData switch have no problem running the camera and light.

Also note that the CyberData switch DOES output PoE mode B power but it's got a plastic case instead of metal and is much larger than the BV-TECH switch. The PoE mode A limitation is unfortunate but may not be a big deal for most applications. According to the IEEE 802.3af standard, devices are supposed to support both mode A and B, so it may be only cheap, non-compliant devices that don't support mode B. The BV-TECH build quality seems excellent on the outside and the form factor is nicely small. The case is solid metal and the whole device has a good amount of weight to it for its size. It reminds me of Netgear's metal network switches. Nothing on the switch gets more than lukewarm after having it plugged in to two cameras for hours (although the cameras together only draw 2.6W).
