We tend to get those tiny ladybugs in our house and of course spiders. We have 10ft ceilings and I was getting tired of moving a chair to stand on to smush bugs with a tissue. This works perfect. It has a strong suction motor and I LOVE that it also has a zapper at the bottom of the tube to fry those bugs dead. We haven't used the flat, round attachment with the flap in it, as we're not the type of people to suck up a bug and release it outside. If you are that type of person, this would be a useful attachment for you. The zapper does not activate as long as you don't push the tube all the way to the bottom of the motor section. It sucks (pun intended) that it costs so much, but it does work extremely well and holds a charge for quite a long time. It's well made and has been used many, many times. I recommend this product.

Very disappointed. I read the reviews and many mentioned that it didn't have a lot of suction, but some reviewers stated it did. It came last Friday. First off, it's very big. It's easy to put together, but once you put it in the charger, it's very tall and large. Definitely not anything I'd want in plain sight in my home. I figured I'd keep it in the garage. Charged it for 12 hours as the instructions stated. Found a spider, in a corner. Big spider. No such luck. The vacuum is not very strong. It's also awkward with the cup on the top which is supposed to help you, I didn't find it helpful a all, it seemed to get in the way. It's in the box ready to be shipped back for a refund They do include a USPS, pre-paid address label to send it back, however, they will deduct almost $11 from your refund for using it. I am now not getting a full refund and I have a big spider somewhere in my house.

Works as advertised. EXCEPT FOR THE FOLLOWING. . .
You cannot suck in Spiders or Bugs if they are up in the Tri-Corner of the Ceiling. That triangular device on the end of the Bug Vac just doesn't fit properly into that type of corner. You're better off waiting for the Bug/Spider to move out, then capture it.
Plus, this thing is HEAVY. It weighs a considerable amount. When it's placed into the Charging Mount and "IF" You need to use it. A person usually needs to grab this pretty fast if there's a Spider crawling somewhere, Right? Don't rush with this Vacuum. Why?
It is a 2 piece design in the long barrel tubing. And, not there is not anything to secure the 2 pieces together, other than friction. There's no Stop, so if you grab this Vac up quickly by the Clear Tubing, (Which is the most logical and accessible place if it's cyarging), you're going to turn and start walking toward your new found Bug with nothing more than the Tubing. Because it's going to pull off of the main Motor area and leave it in the Charger. Plus, the 2 piece tubes, they pull apart pretty easy too.

There is Lots of Sucking Power that gets 5 STARS.

For heavy duty design. I'll give that 5 STARS.

For corner catching bugs and Spiders, only 2 Stars.
For coming apart when you need it the most, only 2 Stars.

Overall, I'd rate this a good Strong 3.5 Stars. If it would not pull apart, I'd give it 4.5 Stars.

Sadly, it's overall rating is just 3.5 STARS

BUT, HEY... IT'S THE BEST ONE ON THE MARKET - That kills while it Vacuums!

Worked for a month and then stopped killing the spiders. It barely vacuums them up now even on full charge and if I finally do manage to get it vacuumed it doesn't kill the spiders. And they don't come out of the tube easily. For $75, I expected it to work a lot longer.

I got this because I had some of those giant water bugs, also known as cockroaches, it worked. I only picked up about 3 and 1 was still alive when I emptied it to flush down the toilet, so it was not a problem. I've also used it on a few bugs and spiders, it sucked them up fast with no problem. It works like it says so I gave it a 5 star rating. I will update my rating if I have any problems. Before I bought it I called the seller with a few questions, they were very nice, assured me if I was unhappy with the unit for any reason I could return it. If you are afraid of bugs and spiders like I am I say get this, it's so much better than than any other method I've tried.... No ugly mess to clean on the floor or wall...yikes!

Pros- does what's promised (not typical for so many devices), good suction, nice and clean bug elimination.
Cons- not suitable for bigger cockroaches or bugs.Sometimes dead bugs get stuck at the bottom. Toothpick can be used to get them out.

The suction on this thing is terrible. You're lucky to catch a piece of cat hair with it. Plus, if you do catch an insect, you have to remove it manually from the device. Do not waste your money. An insult to Hammacher Schlemmer.
