They are incredibly strong, exactly the strength I was looking for!
However, after playing around with them for about 10 minutes to get an idea of their strength and polarity, several of them fractured internally. The next day when I was showing them to a friend, he tried to separate them, and a few of them broke in half right in his hands.
All in all these are very powerful magnets, but because they are so thin you have to be careful with them. It's not a manufacturing issue, it's just that the actual magnetic material is brittle and fragile. It won't stand up to heavy pounding or allowing the magnets to snap together roughly.
Superglued to a stick note pad on the fridge for grocery lists? Yep
Stuck to the side of all of my cordless drills to keep bits on? Sure!
Stuck to a screwdriver so the screw I am removing does not land itself in the land of unfound and mismatched socks? Alright!
Stuck to gun magazines and stuck to the safe door? Sure that too!
They have a million uses and only one of them cracked under heavy duress. This is the perfect size of magnets for anything you want to stick to the fridge too, even heavy things. Have not tried hanging up the kids yet though, might need to order a few more.
Note; read the dimensions, these are small, but I love that as they don't cover up much of the pictures and calendar on my fridge.
As a test I have a closed thick calendar and five of these little buttons hold it to my fridge right through all that thickness. If I hold the calendar through just one page, two or three do the job.
Note: you won't easily lift these off of the fridge, you'll end up sliding them to an edge. Yes they are that strong. Believe the warnings that you can break them if you let them slam together from a distance; they are so strong they build up a lot of speed.
Check their YouTube video on how to easily get these apart. Helped me.
These things work like a charm!! We won't even bother replacing that dryer latch since these hold the door closed so securely.
I didn't have any problem with these breaking, but we were super careful to slide them off of each other when pulling them apart. Just slide them apart carefully and you should be in business.
