The new Babolat Pure Strike 100 racquet line focuses on the response and precision side of tennis. Frankly, the aggressive player finds the Pure Drive is too much power and the Pure Control not enough. The Pure Strike (in a variety of setup options) is the answer for players still wanting aggressive power but require a tad more control. Thanks to the new hybrid frame construction, which is mixed square and elliptic, the Pure Strike features a great deal of responsiveness at ball impact. Players using this frame will get the prefect balance between response and precision. Players in need of a lighter, more forgiving frame that can still play aggressively will also have an option with the Pure Strike 100. The 100 square inch head size provides more forgiveness and a larger sweet spot than other models in the line. The frame keeps X-Sider technology for even more power and feel from the sweet spot. The variable width Evo Beam design decreases torque on contact, giving the frame a stable feel. PEBAX material injected into the Woofer Grommets adds additional power and responsiveness. The frame’s 10.2oz (unstrung) weight makes it fast through contact for high racquet head speed while still having enough weight for solid shots and defensive stability. Stabilizer technology with stiffer carbon in the throat aids in a more stable feel against bigger hitters. A head light balance allows the racquet to play very maneuverable at the net, easily handling reflex volleys. The 16x19 string pattern provides a solid blend of control and spin on all shots. Players after a fast, aggressive frame with forgiveness and controllable power will like the Pure Strike 100. Technology Response Woofer System has energy restitution thanks to a new PEBAX material injected in to the grommets and bumper Stabilizer Technology is a hybrid frame construction and a stiff carbon fiber for improved torsion stability at ball impact X-Slider Technology increases the sweetspot by 10% to bring forgiv

This racket feels like it's versatile enough for a lot of different playing styles. Unlike the Pure Aero, which pretty much forces you to play with a lot of topspin (I found myself subconsciously changing my semi-Western grip to a 3/4 just to keep the ball in the court), the Pure Strike can comfortably hit flatter shots while still having a surprising amount of spin potential when you want to use it.
This racket also provides a great balance of power and control -- my serves in particular had nearly as much power as with the Pure Aero, with additional ability to place them. Control is at or near the top of the 5 rackets I tried.
Only drawback I've found so far is that the racket is on the stiffer side -- not the stiffest I've played with, but something to look out for. Overall, I'd strongly recommend!
