As you can see, the book contains a bunch of household/baby objects that you wouldn't need a book to show your child. The pictures are unpleasant, most photos are ruined by hideous glittery spots that are completely unrealistic and do nothing but confuse infants that are trying so hard to make sense of this world.
I will never be purchasing DK books again. Other books in this series aren't very impressive either, but this by far was the worst infant book I have ever had the misfortune of buying.
If you want your child to learn the words: shoes, socks, strawberry, flower, bib, bowl and spoon, cat, dog, ball, teddy bear, car and doll, you'd be better off taking them for a walk around the house or neighborhood, as opposed to looking through this distorted, terribly stupid book.
They are our go-to books for nighttime and long car rides.
If there is one slight downside, she thinks that all board books are touch-feel books. She's constantly scratching and running her fingers over the illustrations of other books. It's pretty adorable. =)
