Top customer reviews
This product is a great investment, easy clean-up, and does not take a lot of space to store.
FYI: Be sure when you are piping your batter that you use a "tool made for this" or you use a ziplock bag and snip the end corner to get the batter out uniformly..........using a spoon takes too long and is sloppy.
GF DONUT RECIPE
1 gluten-free (Betty Crocker) cake mix (do not make as directions say- only add the following ingredients)
1/2 cup buttermilk
6 TBS softened butter
1-2 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp (rounded) salt
Mix well and scoop batter to the halfway point. For yellow cake mix, only leave them for 3 minutes before removing. For the chocolate cake mix, only leave for 3 1/2 minutes before removing.
The secret to having these melt in your mouth is to not overcook them.
When slightly cooled but still very warm, dip and coat in glaze, then immediately in cinnamon mixture. Set on wire rack to cool.
2 1/2 c powdered sugar
3 TBS + 1 tsp milk
5 tsp vanilla (seems like a lot, but it's perfect)
1/8 tsp salt
needs to be a 5 to 1 ratio of sugar to cinnamon
I used 10 TBS sugar and 2 TBS cinnamon and had quite a bit left over.
Highly recommend!- kids love to decorate and frost the donuts as well :)
