I never liked Anna till I watch her episode of Bake , then I Google the book which at that time was hard to find. When I finally bought this then shipped to my sister who was in NYC. I had to wait again till it reached me in Jakarta-Indonesia.

As always, when i buy cooking book, i feel the book as it has its own baking smell. I wonder how Anna is baking with the recipes inside. The book is so thorough. I learn lots of things that I do not find in other baking books. Most of the recipes come with pictures. I have tried some of the recipes and happy with the results.

The only problem is, she uses the measurement of cups (USA) and conversion in ml instead of grams. Yes, there is conversion table at the front but it gives me extra work when i have to convert, since, we here use the metrics and my cups do not have the standards as US ones.

Other that that, all is good.

I think this is the best recipe book that i ever had. I love the book design (cover, paper and colour), the recipes are amazing and easy to understand. And the special parts are about healthy recipes, gluten-free recipes ... never thought before to make delicious non-fat key lime pie from tofu..This book is very recommended !!!

I have been drooling over Anna Olson bookes since "Sugar" and was excited to see another new book. I have recently been watching her new show on Food Network and was under the impression that the recipes from this show would all be in her new book. The recipes are not all in this book so I was dissapointed. She still has many delicious and easy recipes.

I like Anna Olson videos and books, but I'm really disappointed with this book. This last edition it's too old so if you have the chance to watch the videos where she use this recipes, you will notice they are TOO different one to another. Let say it clearly: The book it's not update.
Don't waste your money, just watch the videos on YouTube and you will have the updated recipe.

Currently my favorite book!!!! I love baking and her this book is full of information and a step by step way to do pastry. I learn old school way of making pastry but her way is so much easier. Love the way she always finds ways to switch up. She shows you a great way to avoid 'taboo' and just enjoy yourself doing it and eating it.

so far recipes made in this cookbook is spot on. I made cookies and her pound cakes so far and they are a hit. Wedding Carrot cake is okay.... and I think it is nothing special. The food photography is spectacular.
