The book's blurb is all you need to get started and about an hour or so later you are still chuckling and getting a little teary-eyed at the way these two wonderfully developed men bring their past into the present and plan for the future.
Even if you have no idea what "puppy play" is, or even if you know and do not want to go there, go there--it's a hoot and you might eventually let out a happy bark at the end.
As to Back Where He Belongs, its a wonderful holiday novella. I just wanted to wrap Kier up in bubblewrap one minute to protect his heart and knock him upside the head the next for not revealing his heart. Some might say that this story is a little on the cliché side, old lovers reunite unexpectedly and stranded by weather they rediscover the love, and maybe their right but just because the idea is, doesn't mean the writing, the characters, or the story is cliché. Don't mistake cliché for boring. Kier and Douglas' journey is anything but boring.
I will add that although puppy play is not my typical cup of tea or really tick any of my BDSM boxes, however the author portrays it tastefully. It fits the characters' journey and its actually quite lovely. But, if its not something you really want to read, its done in a way that you can skim over it so you don't miss out on a lovely holiday tale that will warm your heart and make you believe in love.
The second bonus story was even shorter and less detailed, it was nice but felt a bit uncompleted in a way. The ending of both shorts was also a bit sudden to me. You get that it’s a good positive ending, but it needed a few extra sentences at least. It just felt like the story needed a bit more to make it complete.
Apart for over five years. Kier left...afraid to come out. He left the love of his life.
Kier is getting to his parents home for Christmas but get stuck in the snow with a broken car.
Cold to the bones he got saved by a man...Douglas
Douglas....my God I loved him from the first sight...such a kind spirit....adorable, honest, sweet playful and easy going.
Their attraction is immediately like there was no separation for five years long....
Kier can't believe his luck....he can stay with Douglas, because in this weather no car can ride.
Only Douglas doesn't live alone.... :))
Memories all over and when we get to meet the kinks they had when they were together....
Some charming but also sexy kinky play. Kier is afraid he will never have a partner again with whom he can be himself in this.... He doesn't know Douglas has all the play stuff well kept in the same trunk where they always were.....
Adorable, delicious sweet sexy read. It had so much love in it. Two kind guys with big hearts.
No big drama, enough feelings over the floor to make this a wonderful read.
Written in a very enjoyable way. Is it already Christmas...?
Free short bonus:
Jake in his forties is over his head (the lower one) about the new employee Ethan. Baby blue shy eyes of twenty two years make his dick on high alert... Jake is in celibacy...well....not for long....he hopes.
At the company Christmas party they are circling around each other.
When they finally going to watch the view from Jake's hotel room....Jake thinks as himself as a daddy....surprise...surprise....
Great short Christmas read. I love this author fresh way of writing. Always full of unpredictable turns....always written with depth and width.
