The story starts with Election night and there is no clear winner for President, then it winds through all the twists and turns that COULD happen if this situation actually comes to pass in November. There was just enough background information on the 12th Amendment for this book to make sense to an Aussie reader with very little knowledge of the American election process, but not too much as to make this a boring read.
I could almost hear Trump saying some of the things that the author has him saying! The behind the scenes wrangling and promising were quite fascinating. I did guess who would be President about half way through - if only real life could reflect this book we could have an interesting few years ahead of us!
I highly recommend reading this book, particularly BEFORE November 8th. It might even change the way you plan to vote.
