This is a good story. It is the usual story of getting caught up in a lie and then having to produce a boyfriend. However, this one is a little bit different in that she is caught at Home Depot with her contractor and it is assumed that he is the boyfriend so she has to go with it. She is a lawyer, going for Jr. partner. The old boys feel that being a single woman is a mark against her. They want family, home, etc. so that she seems more stable. Since she works about 60 hours a week it doesn't give her a lot of time for a social life plus she is getting over a bad break-up.

Having recently bought a fixer upper she is in need of a good contractor. Just happens that her neighbor has a nephew that has a background in construction and what he does is restore old homes. So, even thought they are exact opposites she hires him. Then the fun begins. These two enter into an agreement, she needs a boyfriend and he needs a lawyer. Seems simple enough. Only thing, they have not figured in all the ways that their lie will effect their friends and family not to mention co-workers. There are some twist to the story as their feelings for each other start to grow.

This is a very entertaining story. I really enjoyed it. I definite recommend it. Good characters, good story line and a very good romance.

Delightful Sweet Romance!

This delightful romance is the story of Kate and Dominic. Kate is on the fast track for legal success, working long hours at her law firm and nursing a bruised heart from a breakup with a fellow lawyer. When her new next door neighbour's fix-it nephew offers help with her home renovations and her dilemma of producing a 'boyfriend' she alluded to to help her professional status in exchange for some legal help for his sister, it seems like a perfect way for her to get her focus back on her legal career and not on the disaster of her new home - at least, it would be if she didn't have thoughts of him getting into her drawers in addition to the house's! Can two people with vastly different life goals design a happy future together?

I really loved this story! Dominic is a hard working, attractive man who has sacrificed his own plans for an architecture degree to help his father and brother with their construction company. He's 100% dedicated to his family and the scenes with them, all likeable and friendly secondary characters give a real warmth to the story. Kate is also hard working, sometimes to excess, in her drive to further her legal career and prove to those around her (and to herself) that she deserves the success that she's made of her life. having come from a low income background. I really enjoyed her character, the witty interactions she and Dominic share, and her slow transformation over the story as she comes to grips with what she really wants for her future. The sexual chemistry between Kate and Dominic is present from their first meeting and fuels their interactions together. Being a Bliss title there are no open door bedroom scenes but the story is told in such a way that I didn't miss them. I found the sexual tension and build up between them to be just as well done as a steamier story. The secondary subplot of a case Kate is working on was interesting and drove the plot and Kate's character development and decisions. From beginning to end I was thoroughly entertained by this story and had trouble putting it down. I hope to see more stories starring some of Dominic's siblings! 5 delightful stars!

Wish I had a Domonic Sorensen in MY life!
True to its billing, this was a squeaky-clean read with few mild language instances but otherwise a very interesting read about two mature people who both need huge favors so agree to play a harmless game that becomes much more when 'feelings' get involved. I liked their story, their conflict resolutions, and the way in which the author helped me to get to know the two leads. And, they actually got to know one another pretty well before falling into bed, too! Big change from most every other CR or Regency I've read in quite some time.
It's been too long since I've been anxious to find out what happens next, and this book did it for me. I couldn't wait to discover how these two figured things out (even if the inevitable was beyond obvious towards the end).
There were only two issues, though: the author's odd use of colloquial and dated slang, and an excessive increase in type-o's that I blame on the Editor and not the author. But, this IS from Entangled, and most of us are likely aware of how THAT goes :(
As the chapters continued, there were too many mistakes and too much repetition of words, thoughts, and actions, giving ME the impression her Editor only went so far in the manuscript before sending it off to be published, which is a shame but very typical of the source.
Regardless, I would recommend this to anyone interested in 'breather' material that doesn't grab you by the throat or plunge you into a lot of chaos, smut, and reality. I'm also very interested in reading the others' in this series in order to find out how the additional characters fair in their chance at true love.

Loved this romance. No graphic sex scenes (bonus) but plenty of chemistry. Appealing hero and heroine. Hero has a fabulous, supportive family as a side story and this book has a really great feel good factor. Kate's background makes it difficult for her to make the right kind of choices as she feels worthless and needs to prove herself as having value. Deep down, she is a principled person and eventually comes to understand herself and what is right for her. Good romance and highly recommend a read.
