This is simply a fun magazine to read. I don't have a crop of wheat to put away but I'd love to grow raspberries (so that's a fun one). The article on the Survival Storeroom is worth the price of the magazine all by itself.

Really, these are a lot of fun to read. Try it. You'll agree.

There's never a single issue of this magazine that I read and think, "well, I can't use any of that" - how many hands-on publications can boast that?

In this case, I really appreciated all of Jackie Clay's wisdom on doing laundry without an automatic washer. She has a sensible, reliable way of putting things in perspective.

Since I have subscribed to this magazine for the past 4 years, I thought I'd find the Kindle edition coming in at 5 stars. But I was only able to give it 4 stars. It just doesn't match up to the print version. Sure, the articles are there and complete, along with most of the photos. But I miss glancing at the ads for neat stuff while reading an article.

I can recommend it to everyone with a Kindle who is interested in how-to articles and such that this magazine covers and want to get the information at a fraction of the cost of a print edition.

I really enjoy having Backwoods Home Magazine on my Kendle. I like to read the different views of the writers, and how the live the lives that they write about.

I subscribe to this magazine and recommend it to all.

This is the only magazine I cannot toss out when I'm done reading! Having it on my Kindle takes care of that problem! Looking forward to reading more as they come available, also the subscription for the next year will keep me very entertained!

We are print subscribers to BHM and have enjoyed it for several years. The online edition is filled with the same articles and features, sans advertisements, and is easy to read and follow.

We now prefer Backwoods Home Magazine to the others in the 'homesteading' genre because they have kept the focus on 'real' stories of 'real' people doing what we are doing...on a shoestring, not yuppie and consumer based like some of the other old DIY homesteading mags.

My husband and I love, love, love this magazine and have been subscribers for years. We have given up all others. I like having it on my kindle, but if I had to choose, I would pick the paper magazine.

I have been getting this magazine for several years and I love it! The info is well written and very helpful.
I look to Jackie Clay for all things canning and love hearing about her homestead. I have a kindle fire for all my casual reading and the articles show up great on it. I do like paper copies for later reference but the anthologies are great for that! Please keep up the great work!
