Really, these are a lot of fun to read. Try it. You'll agree.
In this case, I really appreciated all of Jackie Clay's wisdom on doing laundry without an automatic washer. She has a sensible, reliable way of putting things in perspective.
I can recommend it to everyone with a Kindle who is interested in how-to articles and such that this magazine covers and want to get the information at a fraction of the cost of a print edition.
I subscribe to this magazine and recommend it to all.
We now prefer Backwoods Home Magazine to the others in the 'homesteading' genre because they have kept the focus on 'real' stories of 'real' people doing what we are doing...on a shoestring, not yuppie and consumer based like some of the other old DIY homesteading mags.
I look to Jackie Clay for all things canning and love hearing about her homestead. I have a kindle fire for all my casual reading and the articles show up great on it. I do like paper copies for later reference but the anthologies are great for that! Please keep up the great work!
