I love how Aurora grows throughout the series. She’s learning more about herself, and the people surrounding her. I was a hardcore Dante fan, but after reading Bad Blood, I think I’m a bigger fan of Fane. Because…… reasons! I also want to know that I still don’t care for Valerie. She drives me freaking crazy with being such a bitch about everything! And talk about a complete turn around with Noel. Daaaannnng. I don’t care about the drama between her and Aurora. I still adore her.
There isn’t as much action in Bad Blood, but we find out some very interesting things. Puzzle pieces are finally starting to fit together, and some of my suspicions were kind of answered. So many revelations. I also love that Aurora finds those she can trust, and those she can’t.
I’m going to end this with, I think we need a short story about Dante during this time period…. Because I want to know how he’s dealing with everything.
In the mean time Dante gets close with Aurora, he wants them to be a couple, Aurora isn't really sure if that is what she wants. They kiss and make out. Aurora also finds out who her roommate is, and she is not a happy camper, Noel Harper.
Aurora still believes Fane and Noel hooked up together, and she doesn't want anything to do with them.
Jared' s not in this book, but is mentioned a few times. But the vampire girl, Giselle makes an appearance in the book.
Dante goes missing, Tommy Moe his dog goes missing too.
All in all, I really liked the book, it was well written. The author (Nikki) new where she was going with this book, and she delivered. I gave this a five star.
Aurora , an engineered vamp hunter, is on her way back from boot camp after a high profile kill. Back and ready to go she continues taking down the predators with her toxic blood. She is, excitedly, beginning her freshman year in college and wading around her feelings for Dante. OH! And her grandmother has moved home. A suspicious French teacher, her shady boss and his vamp sidekick, and some mysterious cravings make her wonder. What really happened that day on the icy road? An accident? What is really going on with Aurora Sky?
Series characters have stepped up their game here. I love that they have finally revealed enough history that readers can understand everyone a little better and gave them some depth. Relationships go crazy in this one, but I wouldn't expect anything less with a group of teens. Jefford writes just enough to make it enticing without making it boring and overdone.
This one is the game changer. The plot takes a major detour and leaves a great cliff hanger ending. I am very excited to what the next installment turns up.
Although I gave this book 4 stars, it is starting to lose some of it's appeal. The story lost some of it's grit. I expected a bigger punch; better fighting technique from Aurora & Val considering what they've been through, but sadly I feel it was a bit lacking in that department.
I like that secrets are out of the bag, even if they were long overdue but still satisfying. It dragged around the middle but kicked up speed towards the end.
I wish there was more sizzle if you get my meaning, the book opened up to an eye-bugging scene that left me expecting more but that was just about it :(
I was happy with the budding camaraderie between two individuals so I'm a bit disappointed to see it dwindle towards the end of this book, But all is not lost as other friendships have been rekindled.
*sigh* unfortunately I have to wait till fall for what I'm assuming is the last book of the series, and now I'm stuck trying to find a read to keep me settled till the release date :/
