Being such a fan of the first movie with its comic timing, excellent direction that Michael always brings (Though Pearl Harbor was crap) and a great score (yet is sounds suspiciously like Speed's Hmmmmmm) anyway...i was surprised to find that I loved the second one even more...and the freeway chase scene rivals The Matrix Reloaded (Yes I said it!!) I think everything was better because Will Smith had more time to work on his comic/action skills between these films, and Michael definetly knows how to play to HIS audience as does Jerry Bruckhiemer. And the camera work in this film was turned up to 11! the 360 degree shooting scene going from room to room through bullet shots! GENIOUS! I definetly can see this film spawning at least one more sequel and is the Letha Weapon of our generation....with lots more blood and a more hardcore style of comedy.

... Well I finally got to see Bad Boys 2 a few weeks ago and I was very pleased. I can't wait for the dvd to come out.
The movie is ACTION packed to say the least. There is action, brief nudity, a lot of cursing, violent and digusting killings, and a lot of drugs. It is not a kid's movie and I was disapointed to see how many people brought their kids with them to see this movie.
Anyway, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence make a great team and yes their jokes were sometimes annoying and dry but not enough to be overshadowed by the really funny scenes. I liked the first Bad Boys film but I really feel that the sequel is much better. I would not be surprised to see a third installment.
If you like action, good special effects and great stunt coordination, this film is for you. I can't wait to watch it again!

While this is by no means a realistic or gritty crime film it is definately a fun movie to watch with your friends on Saturday night. It has all the bad*** action, explosions, and slow motion you could want; along with some surprisingly funny humor. Others have said that this film is essentially a "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" movie, but why does that have to be a bad thing? If you're looking for a fun movie about some kick *** cops then this is the film for you.

One of Micheal Bay's best directed films for it's time. It's hard to image doing things better but Mr. Bay brought out the best of a good actor (Will Smith) and average comedian (Martin Lawerence) placing them in an continuing story line that addressed a critical social issue, in a manner that causes the viewer to sit back in amazement. Good cinematography spectacular explosions and car chases with real edgy game play feel. You'll want to watch this in HD with the best sound system you have at your disposal. It will quite literally blow you away. Feel the action and the sensatuin in this dynamic story of two everyday cops caught up in the heat of one moment after the next. You may even find yourself going "Whooosaaaah!" Fun, thrilling, and set the standard for action adventure.

I absolutely love this movie it will have your side split it is hilarious. This is Will Smith and Martin Lawrence at their best comedically. The pair is very funny together and works off of each other's energy much like David Spade and Chris Farley in Tommy Boy.

Filmmakers are being continually challenged to come up with new and inventive ways to stage a car chase, and for my money one of the best comes in this hit action sequel.

Towards the beginning of this movie our intrepid heroes are trying to save Sydney, a DEA agent (who just happens to be the New York-based sister of one of the Miami cops - don't ask) from a pursuing gang of Haitian thugs.

Problem is, after a messy gun battle (which seems to have employed more bullets than in a small war) the thugs give chase to the DEA agents SUV in one of those trucks used for transporting new cars to dealers (you know the type).

As Will Smith and Martin Lawrence's characters (Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett) try to keep pace, the thugs attempt to throw off the chasing police units by releasing and hurling cars down the ramps of the trailer and into the street. Thus we have a chase that not only involves the standard dodging of cars in the roadway, but also the dodging of flying and tumbling vehicles.

It's a white-knuckle ride and full marks go to Michael (The Rock) Bay and team in creating another great car chase culled from a simple idea.

In fact the action scenes and shoot-em-ups are really what save this 147-minute movie. Inevitably meant to try to grab the same crowd that flocked to see the LETHAL WEAPON cop-buddy movies, the teaming of Smith and Lawrence unfortunately seem to lack the broad audience appeal that made Gibson and Glover a success.

There's a good deal of gore in this picture to. One of the bloodiest we have involves the main villain (a Cuban drug kingpin) delivering a Russian mobster's brother to him in pieces, dismembered limbs sticking out of barrel.

There are also some comic-misfires in this movie.

I have been waiting for this to release on blu ray forever but doesn't seem to be on the priority list with no expected date of release. Since i love this movie AND Bad Boys part one on bluray was disapointing in quality at best, thought i would just buy it to add to my collection.

No regrets really as the movie quality is still pretty good. I am not a video maniac but it looks better on my tv on dvd than my hd cable but that is my opinion.
