HOLLY CRAPS and I cant FREAGGIN wait for
the next VOL . cause it's all Ruth's just like
how every addition total adds to the how's and Y's
and has us grasping on tight at every capital C-Hanger
at the end of every b'day!!!! Thankfully you LOVE US
and inflict almost no hurry up wait IN between times.
and this series PROMISES plenty of hot ,intense ,
juicey ,SEX , DRUG'S , & ROCK ~N~ ROLL
that's Naomi & Tucker & well everybody else too
because it's HIGH STEAKS for them all !!!
and I absolutely DIG that it's not concentrated on just
the "star/main " folk . love that honesty and addressing
uncomfortable glitches that pop up are nipped in the Bud
before secrets and skeletons can distort this crazy web of
crazy that's being weaved. that all being said yea Naomi still
gun shy but she's warming up nicely so all in all her scares
and conflicting EMOTIONAL issues don't make me want to
duck tape her up shack her till she figs things out. she's almost
all the way up front and real out load and when she's not well
nobody's fooled that goes for them all though. Now this last
C-hanger makes me nervous because HOLY CRAP was the whole
waking up just trickery ? and come on where was sister ? and crap , crap , crap I hope it doesn't end cut and dry bad guy goes postal guns blazing good guys take blows but nothing worse than they've already suffered. happily eve after and bells nd stuff. and cut dry is still cool cause it rides the edge and they get happily ev.. after..and bells and stuff ;) but DANG I'm all for some more surprise corner and twists and DANG I wasn't expecting ?? but hell yea but DANG it I hope hope hope no one suffers more physical damage that time heals boo boos necessary evils life threatening twists not really where I'm leaning uknow? so short review that somehow rattled on and said a lot but not .started textbook only seems fitting to end it the same way .fantastic series nail biting can't wait for the next one what happens when the conclusion happens? Will we get backgrounds on other members and keep future updates possible on a personal and professional base for each member ? okie dokie all that said I really am a Hard Rick Roots junkie!!! sooo more, more, more please!!!! ;-}
Bad Day starts immediately where Tough Luck left off without any unnecessary torment. When I could finally tear me eyes away from what has to be the hottest book cover on the market, I settled down to finally find out what happened after the attack on Indecency and Amatory Riot. The pieces of this puzzle were starting to fall into place slowly through Tough Luck and by the end of Bad Day many more questions have been answered.
Turner and Naomi are the main focal points again in Bad Day but the rest of the cast also feature in their own spellbinding way. I love the relationship that Turner has with Naomi and her stubbornness to accept her feelings towards Turner and his dogged determination to make her accept him as her boyfriend. When they are together their emotions for one another are almost tangible and you can't help but get swept away with their relationship which is raw, funny, passionate and just so perfect. It's simply magical when Naomi and Turner are on stage together towards the end of the story and I love that Turner will happily put his feelings for Naomi out there for all to see.
I have to say it though, CM Stunich has ruined me again. After a fabulous story you reach the end of the book (at 92%, grrrr) only to find another cliff hanger and in the same vein as the ending of Tough Luck. I have screamed, stamped, pulled my hair out and used unimaginable expletives that I can only hope that CM Stunich has heard. I swear to God that if the next book doesn't fall into my hands soon I may implode. These books have so much hidden depth and so many facets to the characters that it's hard to remember what has happened in previous books. Thank goodness for my kindle and the search button!!! If book 5 ends on a cliff hanger though I am likely to need hospitalisation so please CM Stunich, from an avid fan in pain, put me out of my misery!
My frustrations aside, I have to admit to still loving CM Stunich and her writing. I just can't get enough of her books and I don't care who calls me a stalker, for me she is one amazing writer who everyone should experience, even if the Hard Rock Roots books are not for you. This author can write just about anything really well so go and take the CM Stunich experience for yourself.
If there could ever be death by cliffhanger, well I am sure that I would be experiencing it right about now! I finally get some Turner and Naomi progress and BAM!...left hanging after 1, 2, no 3 kisses backstage. "You're my boyfriend," I say, and the words nearly kill me. "That's all you get for now. Best I can f***ng do.”
Turner and Naomi are full of baggage and just s*** circumstances. They are caught in the chaos of murder, revenge, drugs and pure rock and roll. They only thing pure about the whole situation is the music within them and the way they find the truth in one another thru it!
Indecency and Amatory Riot are continuing to rock it out as they are in working towards ending the terror following their tour. With lives ended, bands separated, mates lying, and money buying people all they can do is count on one another and use their gifts to beat an evil mastermind at his own game. Never underestimate the power of music to unite people and create a maelstrom of support! It is time for Turner and Naomi to become "Boss" and end this game on their own terms...
Together, I know they will win this game...I mean no one else is as crazy as they are together...who would want to mess with that???
Just when I am finally setting into the series...feeling like this may just work out...again the bottom drops out, proving that yes, I am having a "bad day." So, I move onto the next book in hopes that Trey sees the light of day, that Lola and Ronnie get another romp, that Dax finds someone to melt his "ice", and most importantly that Turner and Naomi get to enjoy their relationship and continue to make that magic on stage that is ridiculously hot!
