Bad at Love: A Second Chance/Secret Baby Romance Kindle Edition
Beneath the stars of the Nebraskan sky, Bo Sutton and I made promises to each other that we swore never to break.
Then I did.
Now five years later, I am forced to return to the very spot where I broke both my vow and my heart, with our daughter in tow. I never regretted my decision to protect my daughter from the same heartbreak I felt all those years ago.
Then I did.
I’m aware I’m bad at love, but when secrets come to light that reveal more than just my daughter’s paternity, I know that I am going to need to study up quickly to protect what is left of my heart. Can Bo ever forgive me for my secrets and sins?
Can we rediscover the map we left in the stars and pick up right where we left off?
"With a strong, dependable hero and a heroine who's feisty and determined but still has a few things to learn, this one is light on the angst but overflowing with heart. If you love second chances, a small town setting, and strong, endearing secondary characters, you'll love Bad at Love." -BookAddict
"I've been reading quite a few second chance romances, and I can say with certainty, this is one of the best that I've ever read." - Jennifer Pierson with The Power of Three Readers
"From the prologue that had my heart aching to the love that brings the meaning of soulmates to life and everything in between B.L. Olson completely knocked my socks off with this one. Pennilyn and Bo have a story that goes above and beyond romance." - Brittany Franks with The Red Hatter Book Blog

Second chance romances always twist my heart, and Bo and Penny's story added a few twists I wasn’t expecting. It's sweet and heart breaking, tender and touching, and beautifully compelling. With a strong, dependable hero and a heroine who's feisty and determined but still has a few things to learn, this one is light on the angst but overflowing with heart. If you love second chances, a small town setting, and strong, endearing secondary characters, you'll love Bad at Love.
Penny moves back to Nebraska with her daughter, Tessa who’s four. Penny meets a friend of her ex boyfriend’s, Bo by the name of Wilder. Wilder realizes that Bo is Tessa’s father and Penny begs Wilder to let her be the one to tell Bo that he’s a dad.
This was my first book by Ms. Olson but certainly not my last. I loved all the characters especially Penny, Bo, Tessa, Wilder and Sylvie
Five years later to save money and raise her daughter with her only family member who treats her and her daughter with love and encouragement, Pennilyn returns to her aunt's farm. She believes Bo is long gone assuming he returned to his father's ranch in Texas. Very quickly she learns that Bo is still in town and now owns a neighboring farm. Living in a small town Pennilyn and Bo quickly run into each other and he sees his little girl for the very first time. What follows is a beautiful love story of a cowboy and the girl he loves overcoming misunderstandings and family secrets to find their happily ever after.
I loved the characters. I immediately felt a connection with Pennilyn and her little girl, Tessa, and was interested to see how their journey would progress once they returned to the small town where her aunt lives. We immediately meet her former tutor/ best friend Wilder who is a hoot! I'm dying to know his story which was hinted at in the epilogue! And Bo? Well, I can't imagine anyone not falling in love with that cowboy! He's hot and charming. I highly recommend Bad at Love to anyone who loves a cowboy, second chance romances, secret baby romances, and stories with family secrets that finally get revealed.
I won an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.
When Bo runs into Pennylyn with a child he knows in his heart is his he realizes she did more than break his heart by sneaking off that night.
While Penny and Bo are working things out, she has no idea there are more secrets to be found and Penny is not prepared.
A sweet, hot, second chance romance with a twist I didn't see coming. Well worth 4⭐s.
