I was not sure whether to give this book 3 stars or 4, but I decided to give it 4 stars because it is a well written story. The reason I was debating to give it 3 stars was due mainly to me not feeling the chemistry between the characters (Jade and Damian). It was like the chemistry was at the tip of the tongue but it was not fully out there.
In addition, I do not feel like the relationship between Jade and her father was actually fixed. Yes, they did communicate a bit, but I felt like something was missing. It is hard to explain but even though there was an explanation, it did not make sense to me. For instance, Jade's father never mentioning how serious he was with this person he was marrying, or the times when the father would go spend time with this new family but not Jade. It just felt like the father was an awful character. The only time I started to remotely like him was at the end when he was finally talking to Jade about her mother and the memories he has of her.
I loved the writers' styles, and the character development was phenomenal. The story was well-paced and precise. And I must mention this: I'm madly in love with the cover art!!! So gorgeous!!! Great job, ladies.

I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review.
I loved Jade and her friends. I loved her sassy attitude and bad decisions. Maybe I found a kindred spirit in her teenage rebellion? I don't know, but I do know she is a great character.
Jade has to deal with some difficult situations, mostly of her own making but a few that were thrown at her and navigating the waters with her was a great experience.
Bad Publicity is funny, clever, angsty, romantic and just a great read. This is going to be a must read series as all the characters are great in their own way and have a story to tell. I am looking forward to more from this series and these two great authors.

I loved this book from start to finish.
I'll try not to give too much away, but I could talk about this book forever.
The heroine Jade was unlike a female lead I've read before. She was ballsy, original, and did whatever she wanted! She's always been mischievous, but she takes her bad behavior to new heights when her mom passes away, and the disconnect with her father grows. Because of an old rejection she doesn't let feelings get involved, but that changes when she meets her soon-to-be stepbrother Damien.
*Sigh* Damien! I want to keep him. He is the male version of Jade and the black sheep of his family. Because of this almost from the first moment they meet Jade and Damien form a connection.
There are so many things I loved about this book. It flowed nicely, and the editing was fantastic. It was a fast paced read, and kept me saying 'I'll just read one more chapter.' until the early hours of the morning!
The secondary characters were incredibly developed and I like how they all had there own little stories through the plot.
I loved that Jade and Damien were true to themselves, but also managed to grow. Overall I gave this book 5 stars! Amazing!
