Your badger airbrush is warranted against all manufacturing defects of material and/or factory workmanship origin for a period of one year. Any part or material that becomes defective or is worn so as to not be usable within one year of purchase will be repaired or replaced at our discretion and expense. Your badger airbrush has a lifetime warranty for any necessary factory labor (after the first year, the only cost of factory repair will be the cost of shipping to the factory and repair related parts). These warranties do not cover damage caused by negligence, accidents, misuse, or units that have been abused or altered in any way. The ptfe needle bearing has a lifetime warranty and if ever necessary will be replaced at the factory without cost, except for to the factory shipment cost, to the airbrush owner.

Not a high end brush

There is a lot of hype about Badger Airbrushes. I believe this comes from Americans mostly. I have been airbrushing for about 23 years. During this time I used Paasche, Tamiya. H & S and Sparmax. I was lookin for a general purpose brush to replace my Sparmax Max 4 ( Its getting tired). My other Brush is a Evo Silverline. So the purpose of the 105 would be priming, varnishing and maybe some basic coat. I have to say its not par to the Sparmax. My old Tamiya would also beat the crap out of it. The finishing is ok to say the least, and the spray pattern is always a little grained, at least when compared to my other brushes. The general feeling is also on the cheap side, the treads and general operation are not smooth at all even after lubing it. I tried different PSIs ( from 15 to 25), cleaning and lubing but no significant improvement could be noticed. So I guess its ok for a first Airbrush, but that's all. I would Highly recommend to save more and go for a Tamiya/Sparmax model. Its night and day. Forget the American brushes. Japanese, Germans and Taiwanese brushes are years ahead.

I have contact Badger Customer service as the Airbrush is actually poorly made and I would like a solution for some air leak I have. It has been more than a week and no reply from Customer Service ( they are probably waiting until the warranty expires). One less Star for this. Stay away from Badger. Save Money and get yourself a real airbrush.

Using Vallejo Model Colour - no clogging, low maintenance!

This is my 3rd airbrush. I paint scale models using Vallejo Model Colour and Model Air and I found myself having to clean the airbrush in the midst of an airbrushing session in order to maintain fine lines. With the Badger 105, there is no need. It just keeps on going and even after 15minutes of airbrushing Model Colour, the 105 still can spray on fine lines without any problem. But note that it doesn't spray ultrafine lines that other airbrushes are capable of, but for my needs, the lines are fine enough.

Can dump a lot of paint
The only issue with the 105 is that it is capable to dumping out a LOT of paint if you pull it right back, so if you are painting fine lines, you have to be VERY careful with the trigger. So for critical detail work, I'll still use my other airbrush even though I may need to clean it every 10-15 minutes or so to ensure that the lines are still clean.

The protruding needle
I'm very worried about the protruding needle since accidents do happen. I guess I better order a spare needle just in case....

Conclusion
For everything else, including 'simple' fine lines, the 105 will be my go-to airbrush. It deserves 5 stars for not clogging on Vallejo Model Colour (1:1 thinning ratio, other airbrushes still clog, the 105 doesn't) and not needing to be cleaned every 10-15 minutes.

I own two of these. One for general work, and one used just for varnishing my miniatures.

One of them has an issue with the needle. When I first got it, I didn't have this issue, and it just kept getting worse. As you can see in the photos, it sits in the air-brush farther than it should and sticks out a LOT. I have no clue what is going on with it. While it still works without too many issues, paint dries on it way faster than it should and then clogs up.

Sent off a support email to badger 23 days ago with these photos with two followup emails, all I get back is an auto-reply with another email in the CC field, going to Yahoo! Really?

While their air-brushes are good, don't expect any support from them.

This is a great intermediate airbrush for modelling. I paint Warhammer 40k sci-fi style miniatures and it speeds up the process ten fold. It takes care of all of the base coating, shading, and indirect highlighting in a fraction of the time a brush would. I have a extreme detail Badger Renegade as well but only bring it out for really fine detail work. The size of the tip on this brush allows for plenty of small applications and even medium sized projects. I painted a couple of custom climbing helmets with it and it did a great job.

Highly recommend Badger as they have great products, service and reliability.

Painted 80% of the models in the included pictures with this airbrush.

The AK-47 of Air-Brushes!

Bought this as my first air brush based on the recommendations of many other friends in the hobby and do not regret this purchase one bit. It arrives in a sturdy hinged plastic box and comes packed with a tip cap to protect your tip while not in use, a cap for the cup to prevent spilling during painting, a spare nozzle tip, and an exploded diagram of all of the parts and their part numbers should you need to order replacement parts. That’s where the AK-47 regency comes in. Everything is easily replaceable and the brush itself will stand up to a serious amount of use and still function correctly.

I’ve been using this brush through several months of heavy spraying and am fully satisfied with the performance. It truly fits in the middle of the spectrum as far as detail and features goes, which makes it a great workhorse brush for anyone. As long as you break The brush down at the end of each session and soak everything but the spring loaded section in the back in soapy water or Windex (I prefer to use a shot glass to soak in), it will continue to perform wonderfully. Super durable and rock solid construction.

Paint free flow with these medium needle/nozzles

Seemed to be an manufacturing issue with these. Continuous paint free flow with new needle nozzle shouldn't be happening. Free flow continued when I installed the spare nozzle. I also purchased addition fine conversion kits as spares and they also free flowed. I have never had this issue with my iwatas or other badger models, only with these fine setups. First emailed badger about this 6 months ago I believe and I still have not had this issue resolved. No response from my most recent follow up with them, however I have given the airbrushes away. Yes I know airbrush troubleshooting, this I definitely a manufacturing issue.

I normally never write reviews but this really bugs me....

I decided to make the leap to badger and get their airbrush as a lot of people recommended it. Price was right. Shipping was fast(next day) and I was excited. I get home, open my package and instantly notice 2 things...

1-The airbrush looks nothing like the pictures. It honestly looked like the airbrush was put together using different parts that were left over from returns or something. Different colour back end, trigger and even the very end of the needle was blue(when its suppose to be silver). I instantly didnt feel comfortable with this. But if it worked, I would have looked past this.

2-The hose connection is not standard and I didnt read this in the description anywhere. I should have delved more into the reviews to see if this was some other peoples issues as well.

So right now the airbrush is just a multi-coloured steel paper weight. Not impressed.

Needless to say, I wont buy badger ever again. Not happy. I wanted a new product. Not a Frankenstein airbrush that looks like it was built from returns.

This is a tool. I really don’t care if the trigger is a slightly different colour than the rest of the brush. I’d be an Iwata fan-boy if I did. The 105 is a fantastic air brush. A solid work horse that will do an awesome all around job. Nice control, and great atomization of paint.
Ridiculously easy to clean which was a huge plus for me. Forgiving with thinning because of the larger needle and more versatile with higher pigment paints. Blue colour coded end on the needle is normal. That means it’s a “fine” 0.5mm needle. You will also find a F stamped on the air cap. THIS IS THE NEEDLE THAT COMES WITH THE BRUSH. Not sure why they have the silver Medium size colour code on the product picture.
Do your research and buy the brush that’s best for you. Don’t buy a brush and then give it a bad review because you have no clue what it’s all about. I did lots of research and this was my final choice for the price, performance, versatility, cheap readily available parts, and ease of cleaning. I couldn’t be happier. You can’t go wrong with this brush at its price point.
If you’re still not sure, go to Don’s Airbrush reviews website for more info on other brushes and watch lots of YouTube reviews if the 105 doesn’t feel right. Find the one that’s right for you and your needs. You do that and I guarantee you will be happy with your choice.
