To me, this is a good full-flavored, paprika with a bit of "kick" to it. It's also a beautiful color and makes any red sauce a deeper red. I especially like it in tomato-based things that I make.
We get small-size packets of Badia spices in the local groceries, and I've always found them to be very good in flavor and quality, and this large jar lived up to the freshness of the smaller-package items.
As with all my spices, I fill a smaller jar to keep on hand for meal prep, and keep the large one tightly closed and in the refrigerator. When it's time to refill the smaller one, I take the large one out and, keeping it closed, let it come up to room temperature before filling the "working jar". That's been working out for my spices overall so I expect it to also work for this one.

The image in the listing shows the product as "Smoked Paprika" when in truth it is NOT smoked paprika but simply paprika. There is a difference between regular paprika and smoked paprika.The same brand name "Smoked Paprika" is $2 more for the same quantity.Buyer beware do not buy this product based upon the label in the Amazon listing image as it is misleading.What you see is NOT what you get.

I make all of my own seasoning and herb blends, so I purchase everything in bulk. I love Badia brand. Anytime they have what I am looking for, I will buy it. This is no exception; the paprika is so aromatic and fresh and tastes amazing. I always find good quality with Badia. Absolutely recommend!
