I ignored the reviews complaining about how this stuff tasted awful. Well, unfortunately those reviews are absolutely CORRECT. Upon opening the container, a dirty smell came from it. I tasted the cumin. Left the most BITTER flavor in my mouth that I have ever experienced. Lingered around for a good ten minutes in my mouth. So so SO DISGUSTING. How can someone actually SELL this?! *pukes* What is EVEN worse is that they do not offer returns on this item. I wonder why?! Because they know their product is actual dirt? Do not waste your money on this cumin. I can’t speak for their other spices by this brand but I will never purchase anything from this brand again. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Ugh

I use cumin a lot, so getting it in a huge container is awesome. This product has a great flavor and makes Mexican dishes taste fantastic!

Funny story, one of my daughters when she was in 1st or 2nd grade decided to make me breakfast in bed. She made french toast and (being a beginner reader) thought she was sprinkling cinnamon on it but instead sprinkled it with cumin. I ate it and "loved" it but do not recommend putting cumin on French toast!

Since COVID I've done so much cooking at home and really changed my diet. Of course eating fresh and making good food requires great spices. I would previously (to save money) buy large spice containers for like 7 or 8 dollars at a club store. I do NOT want to go to a club store right now. So, I stumbled across these and they are larger than my club store spices AND cheaper! I am a Badia fan now!

I thought I was getting a great deal with this huge container of cumin for a bargain basement price, it is a brand I have seen in commercial kitchens. I ran out of my smaller name brand and used some of this at the tail end of making a large dish. Big mistake! I almost had to throw out the whole thing because I honestly didn’t even want to eat it after adding this brand. I normally hate dramatic reviews, too far in either direction (good or bad) and it sounds disingenuous but I had to write one to keep people from wasting their money. Just buy the more expensive small containers guys, this stuff is disgusting. It has a super odd sweet smell and an odd sweet taste like it has been cut with artificial sweetener.

I usually grind my own cumin seeds. However, I always keep Badia ground cumin in my pantry (after I vacuum pack it). I have tried many other brands and do not really like any of them. Some were okay at best. Most were just plain horrible. Nothing beats fresh ground but, Badia is the closest to fresh ground cumin that I have found. 👍👍

I like this product. I saw negative reviews after I ordered. I thought it tasted as described and I liked it. It could be that different brands have different suppliers and you will get a different flavor. At any rate, since I was not expecting it to taste exactly as my other brands, I found it to be acceptable. I would buy again.

I use a lot of Cumin in my cooking and usually purchase a giant shaker at Costco. However, I had no Costco trips planned and needed the spice soon, so I decided to try out the Badia brand at the same time I stumbled across their garlic powder. As with each I have not noticed any major differences in taste, but there is a major difference in price. This is a very good quality spice while still being very affordable.
