Very vague - "1 container of heavy whipping cream". Okay, what SIZE container!?? And though I grew up eating it and nothing happened, it's generally advised not to let children eat raw cookie dough (as suggested in Cookie dough Pie). Most of the recipes are just pudding mixed with cool whip and poured into a shell...

When it's too hot cook or bake I love to make no-bake pies as they usually cool, creamy and delicious. Best of all you don't have to heat up the kitchen unless you plan to bake a traditional pie crust to fill with cool, creamy filling.

Author Pamela Kazmierczak has written a cookbook filled with no-bake pie recipes ranging from Whipped Cherry Pie to Candy Corn Pie. Some of the recipes you will find in her cookbook include:

French Pie
Sweet Pizza Pie
Strawberry Lime Pie
Coffee Toffee Pie

Note: The recipe for the Cookie Dough Pie uses raw cookie dough. This is not recommended by most cooking professionals due to the risk of raw eggs used to make the cookie dough.

Recommend with caveats given.

I've bookmarked several of these recipes and I don't think I'll wait for summer because they sound so good. When I read recipes like these I often wonder why I didn't think if "that," but it's an easy answer, it's just not my gift! So, I'm thankful to Pamela for publishing these quick, delicious recipes for people like me.
For the poster before me, I think the whipping cream amount is 1 cup.....after reading through many of the recipes. Most of the recipes needing more than that were recipes using pudding mixes. Sure hoping I'm right on this! I'll make one and re-post the results for you.......that's hoping my own inexperience doesn't mess this up... Anyway, I'm really looking forward to making these pies and always having something in the refrigerator for my children when they stop by. It's the Southern thing to offer a 'lill some thin' sweet and a cup of coffee or a glass of sweet tea in the summer or winter and I intend to do just that! Thanks Pamela!

I am intrigued by the recipes in this cookbook. I am likely to make several of them because the various ingredients appeal very strongly to me, such as those in the Pink Lemonade Pie. I do have one question about the amount of cream in the Strawberry Delight Pie, as the recipe calls for one container of heavy whipped cream; the rest of the recipes' ingredients are more clearly indicated. I would like to make this pie! This review is the only way I can ask the author to clarify. Please note that I habitually mark grammatical and proofreading errors; I made no such marks in this cookbook. I enjoyed reading this cookbook!

This cookbook has plenty of interesting recipes, some classics and some unique recipes. These recipes are easy to follow and some require very little time and effort. The ingredients are inexpensive and usually pantry ready, especially if you use a lot of boxed gelatin and instant puddings (my mother-in-law has an entire shelf for these). I would recommend to any baker, looking to increase their pie repertoire, with even the most basic skills in the kitchen. Just follow all the steps.
One suggestion is photos, they give us, the bakers, the confidence in the finished product and in ourselves.
Thank you for the recipes!

I was able to use up frozen fruit I had languishing in the freezer and the kids just loved it. I actually used already made dough that I baked and then added filling. It didn't look great but tasted good!

Key Lime Pie, Cinnamon Roll Pie, and French Pie to name a few of the recipes here that I'd really like to try. The listed ingredients are short , directions uncomplicated, and procedure simplified that it all seems so effortless to do. I can't wait to surprise the family with a new answer to their constant question "What's for dessert?"

Love all the pies and the flavor combinations. Only problem is there are no pictures and no nutritional information.
These would be perfect for a family gathering a few times a year as they could be rich in taste and filling. Love how quick and easy they are to make but not what I was quite looking for.
