A lot of the other reviews compare the game to Clue, there really is no compasison this is a far superior game.
I was a little dissapointed in the quality of the game pieces and the detailing in the playing board, the same game in England seems to be of a much higher qaulity and detail.
That being said however, for $15 I would buy this game again and again. It is hours of fun and is a fanastic way to help young children and adults develop a keen sense of deductive reasoning.
I remember playing this game when I was 7 years old and loving it. I would recomend it to any parent who wants to help their child grow up to be a smart and reasonable adult.
The clues themselves are laughably juvenile. Whereas in the other game (Consulting Detective), the clues you obtain are conclusions you've drawn from scenes and the testimony from people of interest, here the game virtually provides the answers to cases for you in the most literal terms possible. For example, you'll have find a clue that states (and I'm not joking) "The killer's name rhymes with the word blue." Wow. Now, forget the fact that you're back in middle school all over again, let's talk about how this "clue" came to being in the first place. Who is furnishing it? How did it end up on an area of the board that is totally separated from the case at hand? Now, imagine yourself an actual investigator - I mean a real life COP - and you arrived at a crime scene, looked around, and you discovered a note next to a dead body that said, "THE KILLER'S LAST NAME SOUNDS LIKE A CERTAIN DAY OF THE WEEK."
The second half of the problems with this game is the way you get these clues. Essentially, it all boils down to luck. You roll the die, move your piece, and if by chance you happen to go to the correct locations on the board before the other player, you'll win the game.Read more ›

Fun for adults. Clues are definitely a little hard for anyone under about 14 yrs old. All clues need to be looked up in a book so a little cumbersomePublished 2 months ago by Heather Schwar
This game is very simple and easy to learn, and while the simple run around the board mechanic can feel quite redundant at times, we LOVE this game. Read morePublished 4 months ago by cj

I have always loved this game! It's like the adult version of clue. The players have to really think like they're a detective trying to solve a case. Read morePublished 6 months ago by Meranda Spaulding
