Discordia and Anup quickly grew on me, and it was hard not to root for them when everything seemed to be working against them. Discordia, as the goddess of chaos, definitely gives her foes a run for their money, and the tragedy that befalls her romance with Anup is heartbreaking. This is a kind of story about gods that I've never seen before.
Just don't go in expecting for a light-hearted fairytale! This book is dark and depressing, which makes it just my kind of story.
Balance in Chaos by Lilith K. Duat is a mythological based erotica novel that tells the story of two unlike gods falling in love.
Discordia is the goddess of chaos. She lives and breathes to cause madness and mayhem. She follows no rules and abides by no one. When Discordia spreads chaos into Egypt, she runs into the enemy who wants her to stop from destroying his land. When she tries to convince Anup that her ways of passing time is anything but boring, he is not the only one that get convinced that all she does is cause chaos. Passion grows quicker than they can imagine and they don’t want to stop. But when thing start to go horribly wrong, she knows she has it in her to create the biggest uproar the world has ever see if she can’t be happy.
Anup, the god who judges the dead, just wanted to return his beloved Egypt from storm that ripped through the goes by the name of Discordia. He was content with his life in the Underworld, but when Discordia showed him another way to live life, his world is forever changed. He will face any threat or punishment that comes his way to be with Discordia, but how long will it take until their forbidden ways are revealed?
This book tells a very exciting tale that take you on an adventure in to the life of the gods. I loved how the author incorporated some important and familiar gods and goddesses in the book. There were parts that had my undivided attention and other parts that left me a bit confused and uninterested. However, the excitement and action will keep you flipping the pages to find out how their story ends. This book is very different from any book that I have read, but it a good one. If you like mythology mixed with erotica, then you will probably enjoy this book. I give this book 4 stars!

This is my second read from this author and again I was amazed by the imaginative world she created. I absolutely adored the mix of both Greek and Egyptian mythology and the unexpected turns the plot took. The macabre was often set against the beauty of love and sex and it made for a wonderful erotic read. Themes of love, lust, war, revenge and consequences were all weaved together seamlessly in beautifully descriptive language.
This author and her books are truly unique works of fiction and this one was no different. It was fast paced and action packed with many twists but it never felt rushed and my connection to this epic tale and its characters was deep. Absolutely recommended.

Discordia is a Greek goddess of Chaos, who comes to the notice of Anup the Egyptian god of the dead as the cause of so many Egyptians ending up before him to have their souls judged. Due to her sadistic brother Ares, Anup finds he needs to bring a new meaning to the phrase 'sexual healing'. Unfortunately I didn't find the sex scenes of this erotic story, erotic. Mainly because not only is Anup covered in fur, he has the head of a jackal. A muzzle didn't stop him kissing his Goddess though.
Their relationship is fruitful (make that VERY fruitful, and all without stretchmarks and 9 months of waiting, how cool is that?) but it seems that the gods probably had a point about needing to keep this couple apart.
Tragedy, torture, death, revenge and chaos reign, but no one said being a god or goddess was going to be easy.
Overall, an entertaining read, that would be improved by another proofread. I'd certainly read more by this author.
Discordia, who is the Godess of Chaos comes up again Anup the God of death/underworld. While he is asking her to stop the chaos causing the death in his lands, Discordia feels the desire to want him. Which is forbidden. They ignore the rules, which results in a child of them. Death destruction, love, lust and loss are all focused upon in this book. The plot develops smoothly and completely in a short time frame. I look forward to reading more of this author and would recommend her to those who like fantasy/mythology. 3.5/5 Cross posting to My Reading Reality and Ebooks Galore... Karie D
