This is well worth the money. The welds are solid, it supports a lot of weight easily, no bending or flexing. I had 80lbs of dumbbells on the top rack and then I sat on top (I weigh 180lbs) and no bending. In the pics I have my cap 150lb dumbbell set with rack next to this so you can get a scale of the size. I have yes4all twist lock adjustable dumbbells on the bottom rack. One pair is 45lbs each and the other was 65lbs each. I also was able to fit 15,20,25lb cap dumbbell pairs on the top rack. Only negative I could think of was no different color options, but for the price and quality I’ll like the yellow. Hope this helps someone who is considering this Rack. It also a basic hardware package that bolted together in about 7mins.

Could be Good, But Quality Control Issues

Update: after writing my review I continued to reach out to customer service. They’ve never gotten back to me. Sorry, the absence of customer service makes this item a dud.

After I received my item without instructions, I noticed a number of reviews that also mentioned that. Although other people said it was easy to put together, it wasn’t intuitive to me and I Putzed around with this much longer than necessary.

Seems like it could be a quality product if the screws are tightened properly. The construction is solid. However, the company really doesn’t seem to pay attention to details and I’m not sure how I will feel about this item long-term. For one, it came with absolutely no instructions. That is a fundamental flaw and would’ve been an easy thing to do. A company cannot assume that everyone will know how to put this item together. I sure did not and I was very annoyed that I couldn’t find Instructions on their website, or on YouTube. Numerous calls to the company (it sounds like a personal cell and nobody answers) have yielded no results. So now, I have this thing and no idea how to finish putting it together. Secondly, there were numerous gouges in the paint. I don’t mind if that happens over time, but when I buy something new I expect it to look that way. During this time of coronavirus, I could not be bothered to box everything back up and lug it down to UPS or the post office. I decided to just keep it and eat the cost. Altogether, it’s not my worst purchase ever, but I’m not happy about it either. That’s a shame, because I was really looking forward to organizing my workout equipment with this.

Better than anticipated!

I’d like to start by saying I’m very pleased overall with this product! I only have three pairs of hex weights right now( 10,15,20) and all three fit comfortably on one shelf. I only plan on buying two more pair of heavier weights I’m and confident they’ll be able to fit comfortably as well. There is plenty of room under the bottom shelf for smaller weights and kettle bells, so I’m pretty pleased with that. This is definitely a perfect rack for a small home gym or someone with just a handful of weights!

Now with that being said...I have a few “issues”.
1) I ordered this product in late March/ early April and I’m just now getting it delivered in July. I understand the pandemic caused major shipping delays, but I was less than thrilled with the communication from Amazon. In May they sent a shipping notification, only to say it was “lost in transit”. Actually no...all they did was create a packing slip and never actually shipped it. I eventually told them to just reship( not thinking it would take another two months). I even tried just canceling it in late June but I couldn’t get ahold of anyone.

2) There were NO instructions in the box. Yes, assembly is ridiculously easy( two washers, a screw and a bolt), but that’s not the point. Thankfully I was able to zoom in on the product picture to make sure I was assembling it correctly.

Trust the bad reviews quality control is pour and the seller has no way to fix said issues since they no longer make this rack. The only options they will give you is contact Amazon for a refund that you have to repack and send back.. And if you've ever have bought heavy metal stuff it's not easy.. And the second option is to get a replacement and have to send it back and so you have to break it down and try to get it back in the box you just opened..

My issue is the rack is supposed to support 600 pounds yet you can't even put 35 pound dumbbells on the bottom rack without them sliding off... I had two 35s and two 60s I placed my second 35 down and everything fell off because the lip isn't big enough to hold them in.. So now I have my heavy weight on the top rack and light on the bottom..

To make things worse one leg has very bad welds bubbly and not even full welds across the seem.. Given they only weld two beads instead of going all the way around makes be feel this will snap over time and cause everything to fall to the ground hopefully it doesn't and no one is near it if the welds ever do fail..

Sucks cause I do like it and all I wanted was a replacement leg but that's not possible here so don't expect any warranty help or long term help it's break its trash.

There are no instructions with the unit. Believe me, you won't need them.

The black rack pieces are the same. The yellow frame pieces are the same. Each hole in the frame/rack assembly takes one bolt, 2 washers, and one locking nut.

Insert the bolts with the bolt head on the inside. You don't want the bolt threads near the dumbbells.

Put one washer on a bolt, slide it through the two holes, put on the other washer, then put the nut on with the rubber ring on the outside. Tighten.

Easiest way to get started is to put a yellow frame piece on the floor, rest one rack piece on it sticking straight up, and bolt down the bottom. Then set up the rack, resting the other rack end on the little shelf on the other side, and bolt it. I did the bottom (slanted) rack first. Put the top rack on and bolt it together. Very simple.

If you can't put this together without instructions, I hate to say it, but you won't do very well in a post-nuclear apocalypse. You'll need to join a gang.

I really love this simple dumbell rack. Originally i purchased the Cap Barbell Dumbbell Rack from canadiantire, but returned it because it could not hold my dumbells (45lb,30lb,20lb,10lb) - the spacing was too small (& it was a bit flimsy). This BalanceFrom rack is much better in terms of rigidity but also in terms of ease of grabbing the dumbells (as compared to being on the A-frame style rack). The price of this one is also very good. Originally i wasnt looking for anything other than black, but the yellow is great too ! There were no instructions in the box but that was OK as its super easy to assemble (easier & quicker than the Cap)

For years I've used the Marcy Compact Dumbbell Rack and it just felt kind of small and flimsy. So I ended up listing that one for sale and gave this a try.

Opening the box, it's a simple construction, no instructions required. Line up 4 bolts and done. The Yellow looks amazing and matches my Yellow/Black Powertech gym setup. It's just perfect

Quality of screws were good, no stripping, fastened nicely. The material quality is good and should last the lifetime of your gym setup. Not much can go wrong. It's got a heavy sturdy feel compared to my last one.

My only gripe is that I feel like the metal pieces that hold the weights should have some rubber on them to dampen the blow when you put heavy weights back after a set. I am contemplating ordering some rubber for a DIY project.

For 79.99 it's a great price for what you get. If you look at this and like it, it's going to deliver exactly what you expect. 4.5/5 stars, minus a half point for the lack of rubber on the racks.

Awesome product. Super sturdy. The packaging was ripped open upon delivery. The bolts were missing and what was left was strewn about the packing. I contacted amazon and they were amazing. They took care of me beyond what I expected. I will head to Home Depot in the morning and grab a couple of bolts to finish the assembly. Minor inconvenience for a great product. All said, this is a great product for the price. Despite the packaging issues (which isn’t amazons fault)

Gets your dumbbells off the floor

This rack was just what I needed to get my dumbbells up off the floor and make them easier to access. For the price (75 CAD) I was expecting to have to put up with something very flimsy, with dodgy sharp edges. However, the rack is sturdy and has no sharp edges or bad welds, and the paint is good. There's a very slight lateral wobble, but only if you really push on it.

It was very easy to put together. It even comes with a pair of disposable stamped wrenches in case you don't have two matching ones (didn't even have to bother going to the garage to get proper wrenches). Assembly involves 8 bolts with locking nuts, with two washers each. Just in case, they give you one spare of each. There was no instructions, but since it comes in 4 pieces it's incredibly obvious how it's supposed to go together. Packaging was okay and served to protect it, but it could do with a bit more foam. One slight scuff on the yellow paint from jostling in the box, but who cares.

Overall a terrific solution for a home gym.

This product is exactly what I was looking for – the size is perfect for all my dumbbells, the width and the depth perfectly fit my space, and the bottom clearance height looks just enough for my future purchase of kettlebells, to be put on the floor, under the rack.
The quality seems to be really good, especially considering the price.
For just under CAD$75, this rack was so much cheaper than all other alternatives, especially when you take into the account its quality and sturdiness.
All my 7 pairs of York dumbbells, ranging from 3lbs to 50lbs, totaling 286lbs, fit perfectly, and the whole rack stands steady and beautifully (I distributed the weight equally, as can be seen in my attached pictures – but they can be easily paired on the rack).
A few non-substantial issues to be aware of:
1. Although the construction is super simple and very straightforward, there were no instructions in the box.
2. All mounting hardware is included, including wrenches and a spare set of bolt + nut + washers (good thinking!) – however, I suggest to use your own high-quality tools (included wrenches are the one-time only kind, I would rather use my own ratchet and wrench couplet).
3. While this rack looks beautiful in my space, I would prefer to have more color selection available, rather than just yellow.
All in all, I really love my new purchase, it is perfect for my home gym, and I highly recommend it at its current price-point.
Plus, I got it a few days faster than the original delivery estimate.
