About the Author
Elaine Webster writes fiction, non-fiction, memoir, essays and poetry. Balanced on the Edge of the Crowd employs the same memoir-style writing as the author’s non-fiction works: Jesse’s Tale: Overcoming Fear Aggression and Separation Anxiety in an Adopted Greyhound and Heartfelt: Caregiver’s Guide to Cardiomyopathy and Mitral Valve Surgery. Both titles were self-published in 2010 and 2011 and continue to be at the top of their categories in Amazon.com. As a journalist and staff writer for the online publication, Greener Living Today, Elaine specializes in green-product, book and movie reviews.

Top Customer Reviews
For those boomers whose memory might have been made just a little bit foggy with the passage of time (and perhaps a few other things), Elaine Webster WAS there. And she remembers. This unpretentious, honest memoir of a young woman reaching adulthood in the 70s is extremely readable, despite the fact that there are no celebrities, no earth shaking events, no jarring, disturbing episodes a la Charles Manson. Just the tale of a child of the sixties who, like many of us, found their way during a time that is now fast becoming ancient history.
As I became immersed in these chapters of her life, people and events sprang vividly from ink & paper, hours flew...
My only disappointment was, reaching the very last page, contemplating...
I want to read on about this new best-friend who invites us to share days in her life and sacred spaces!
Inspired perhaps to journal a bit on my own life...
I love the way Elaine writes!
I borrowed from a friend, another book written by Elaine Webster, Jesse's Tale: Overcoming Fear Aggression and Separation Anxiety in an Adopted Greyhound: How to Care For and Train an Adopted Racing Greyhound with Behavioral Problems. I don't even own a greyhound! Still, this is an endearing, true story if you're looking for a great quick read.
