Ball Regular Mouth Pint (16-ounce) Glass Preserving Jars are ideal for fresh preserving recipes such as salsas, syrups, sauces, fruits, and vegetables. These famous glass jars and closures go beyond fresh preserving to help you with serving, creative décor, and gift giving.

Ball Canning Jars & Lids

It's easy to show your creation in its best possible light.

When it comes to canning, there's nothing more important than a quality seal. It ensures that no oxygen gets into the canning jar after processing and that your food will remain preserved just the way you created it.

Ball Jar Banner

Ball Brands of Fresh Preserving Canning Lids have been crafted for quality in the U.S. for more than 125 years. Ball Jar's manufacturing facility in Muncie, Indiana, produces each lid with a custom, time-tested sealing compound with an underside coating so that the natural acids in your food will not react with the lid.

You can trust that each jar is every bit as genuine as the creation inside it.

Ball jars are fantastic, but go to Wal-Mart or Meijer and buy a dozen jars with lids and bands for under $10.

Ball canning jars are absolutely consistent and reliable in quality. This is my favorite size jar for all my home canning. With a family of 4 who all love salsa and jams it just doesn't make sense to can any smaller and this size fits in the Ball Home Canning Discovery Kit basket that I use for small batch canning. 3 jars fits perfectly.

These are the regular mouth sized jars, and the jars and jar bands are re-usable as long as they are in good condition. Replace your lids because the sealant can't be re-used. Lids for this type of jar are very easy to find since it is the most popular jar type in the USA.

Jars made in the US. I've processed them for up to 40 minutes and have never had a problem with them.

I love these jars. I used them for my green juice and the size is perfect. And they are very easy to clean.

You really can't beat glass!

This is really a lovely set that I think will hold up for years. They make great ice tea and fruit smoothie glasses, that won't spill all over my car. Of course There are hundreds of other things you can do with, including canning of course.
I even freeze left overs in them, and them label the jar.

I found some dissolvable labels that you can put on the lids so you can tell what you have frozen inside the jar, without having to pull it out of the freezer. I like the idea of labels a lot for storage.
I like the glass containers as well. If my review helped you, could you please click "helpful" button below. Thank you!

I've been using these jars for years. I know you supposed to use the lid once but I reused them again and again. These jars are build solid. I accidentally dropped one or two and they never broken.

I live by myself, but it's really hard to cook just 1-2-person portions of certain types of food. Using these jars, I can freeze the leftovers for later. If you want to freeze though, make sure to first refrigerate the jar with the contents for a couple of hours before moving to the freezer or the temperature difference might cause the glass to crack/shatter.

I ordered 17 (yes, 17) CASES of these Ball jars through amazon prime. Two days later I received all 204 Ball jars in "frustration free" packaging. The ball jars are what ball jars have been for 125 years. They are the best. This review is more of Amazon's shipping. While the bubble wrap around the boxes wasn't 100% frustration free, I was speechless when I found ALL 204 JARS in perfect condition--not a broken, cracked, or chipped jar in the whole shipment. Kudos to Amazon. As of December 2013, their shipping keeps these glasses safe.

These jars are great quality. The 8oz is the perfect size for storing leftovers or for small homemade batches of apple butter, jams, etc. I would buy them elsewhere unless you get them on a great sale on Amazon. I did see them for less than $7 so bought a case here but in general you can buy them cheaper in store. They are more plain and not as pretty as the quilted jars so they would not be my choice for gifting but for personal use, they are perfect. I won't buy any other brand (at least not without seeing great reviews on them first) by the case.
