I just introduced these to mom. I am making her sugar free strawberry jam and she wants to freeze some since she is the only one eating it. She was so worried because she knew she could not freeze the glass jars. Since we live in different states, I did not want to run all over town to find them, thus amazon to the rescue again. I use these regularly for my annual cranberry apple walnut sauce. You can only get fresh cranberries in the fall, so I have to make enough to last all year. These are a good size, the contents keep well and the freezer jars are a huge improvement over the old fashioned method of standing over a hot stove with a complicated water bath, etc. This is quick and delicious and safe.

I bought these to make smoothies for my children's lunches and to be able to freeze them overnight. They were great or this purpose except the lids fell off. The smoothies stayed pretty frozen until my boys had their lunch and then whatever was leftover came out because the lids popped off. I read another review that said the lids used to be screw top. They shouldn't have changed that feature at all! We still use these but I have to remind my boys to either drink them all up or take them with them back into their classroom or into the bathroom to rinse them out. Really not a big deal to clean their lunchboxes, but if they forget to zip them up, then it's all over their books and papers. These would be perfect with a screw top lid!

These jars are so excellent. There are so many different uses for them! I have 6 jars total. I usually prepare dry beans and freeze them in the 8 oz jars to have handy for recipes instead of using canned beans that are loaded with sodium and preservatives! You can use them to preserve any fresh veggies in the freezer. Soups. Shakes. Smoothies. Ice cream. The list goes on and on! I do wish the tops would fit a little more securely, however.

Love these! Was a little skeptical due to some of the reviews stating they were not leakproof. They arrived today and I couldn't wait to test them out! Filled them with water, pushed the lids on, and turned them upside down. No leaks! Then I decided to give them a good shake to see if they would leak. Nope! Not sure why some other reviewers experienced leaks, but I did not. With these in my lunch bag, I'm looking forward to drier lunches! If these don't remain leakproof, I will update this review.

I purchased a set of these Ball jars over three years ago at a store and really liked them. They have held up well. I use these to put my plain yogurt in (and then I spruce it up with organic fruits and nuts, etc.). Well, I recently purchased another pack on amazon, and I hate to say it but I'm not as thrilled with the quality. For whatever reason, the lids do not stay on. Unfortunately, this has led to spilled yogurt in my lunch bag. I'm not sure if I received a lemon, or what.

These are sturdy nice jars. The lids for slightly funny and come off very easily. I am guessing this has something to do with freezing foods, but I hVe dropped the jar when picking it up from the lid a few times. Still would reccomend them, but warn about the loose fitting lids.
