Classic Pectin for Making Jams & Jellies

Great jam every time
There is something nurturing about making jams and canning. While jam is loaded with sugar it still makes me feel good knowing that my family and friends are not eating heavily process jelly with HFC in it and heaven knows what else. Strawberries were a good deal a couple weeks back and I took advantage, I bought two flats and made jam and pie filling, I normally use low sugar pectin, I was not so happy with the result last time, the jam ended up watery after a few months. My jam turned out quite well this time, I made two batches and would have made cherry too except for running out of jars. It has been nice to treat the mailman and the UPS guy as a small sign of appreciation for all of the goodies they bring me from Amazon. This pectin gives consistent results and unless my jam making turns into a bigger hobby requiring bulk pectin I will continue to purchase this one.
