Coating started coming off only a few months after purchase

I had a black BALLARINI like this one that lasted three years but wasn't available last April when I looked for a replacement, so I ordered this gray one and it costs $10 more. The coating started coming off after only a few months and the gray became brown. We don't ever use metal utensils on it but we do cook with medium to high heat (settings 6-8). This is a picture of how it looked after only 9 months use. I like the shape and feel, but the surface is very poor quality.

I love this pan, I bought a few and came back for a couple more. The dot that is suppose to tell you if it is warm or not went out after first use (stays red at all times) I am not sure why this is even a feature, but it doesn't faze me, as I should know if a pan is hot or not. All my other dots work fine, just one is dysfunctional, so if buying for this feature be warned it might not work.
Over 1 year now, they are still great 👍 even added a picture showing the beautiful color doesn't chip or fade away with washes. The two we use the most seem slightly darker. Could be from oil or grease cooked on. We cook at least 3 times a day, sometimes no pans as baking, but other times we use 3 or 4 at one meal as cooking different items, so yes these have been used many a time over and still look and cook great.

I do find the 12” is slightly too large for a typical electrical burner but just measure yours and should not be any problem! Just make sure you dont use any scrubber pads and only hand wash— which really isnt any inconvenience as thats how clean all of our pans. Couldn't rate it higher!
