About the Author

Best-selling author Cork Graham has been an award-winning journalist and writer since 1983, when at the age of eighteen he dropped out of college, and bought a ticket to adventure. He has covered Southeast Asia, Central America, the Pacific Coast and Alaska, from the career positions of combat photojournalist, outdoor writer and columnist, environmental writer, and senior magazine editor.

In 1997, having gained control of his own combat-related PTSD, he graduated from SFSU with a B.A. in English and journalism. He served as a drug and alcohol rehab counselor in the American Indian community as a PTSD specialist in the early 1990s. An internationally recognized authority on post-traumatic stress, he now dedicates his time to aiding those dealing with PTSD as a motivational speaker and writer, while continuing his passion for the outdoors as a writer and video producer.

"The Bamboo Chest" is the first book in his adventure narrative trilogy.
