So sturdy that I could erase a hard-to-erase label on it without supporting the middle of the tag
These tags are a lot more durable than they look. I wanted to erase the labels and reuse them, so I stuck food labels to these gardening tags. (See: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PGS9HXC/ if you want the reusable white labels that I added.) They work well with my waterproof wall planter. (See: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KU6WLXW if you want one.)These tags will help me know which plant I planted where, and when the right time is to harvest each one.

Super cute way to label the plants in your garden (I used paint pens to write the plant types) but they only lasted one season. I should’ve laquered them for outside use.
I bought these in 2019 and started using them as soon as I got them.
Now, in 2/2022 I have to say that they are difficult to read some of the tags. They are still solid but the ink tends to smear as they sit in the wet dirt.
Absolutely better than nothing. I found some white plastic ones that I might try to see if they are any better.
I love that these are bamboo, natural, renewable, and I can compost them when I get done with them. The plastic ones are none of this, so maybe I will just continue with these. I still have a ton left since I think there are 60 in the box. They are inexpensive so making a new tag every 2-3 years isn't costly prohibitive.
They look good in the box. But the wood absorbs the Sharpie Permanent Marker ink and with the rain and sun, whatever you write on them fades away. The bamboo also warps and fades in the rain outside. I would go with plastic next time.
I always hated working the soil each spring and constantly pulling out plastic tags from last years planting. They are Exactly how they were described. I think they are the perfect size, can fit the entire latin name of plants and the date. Easy to write on using a fine point black sharpie
They fade to a dingy gray if used outside. The oils based black pen I used to write the labels does not stand out well against the dingy dark gray faded bamboo. Maybe a white paint pen would be better. Better used on indoor plants.
These are very nice quality. I hand-painted mine with acrylic paint and they look terrific in my garden. Am buying more! I gave 4 stars because I wish they were an inch or two taller.
