The rest of the story was good. Ginger is a good person. Get us seems to have a budding future. And some interesting things seem to be coming in the future for one unidentified Seal
After the death and funeral of his father, Jake and his fellow SEALs have been deployed on a mission to Mexico. It’s the second mission to Mexico to clean up some loose ends from the first mission. Jake ends up arrested and detained in a Mexican jail. Meanwhile, Ginger, the woman he married, has 2 beautiful daughters with, divorced, is again, in his life. She is waiting for her man back home, keeping the family calm and together.
This story is a true lesson on the camaraderie between the SEAL brotherhood, their wives and being a unified family supporting each other in difficult times as well as the good times. I appreciate how this story details some of the struggles our military personnel face with alcohol dependency and their relationship difficulties while serving in the military. This kind of life cannot be easy on each member of the family.
I won’t give any of the good stuff away but Jake and Ginger are an exceptional couple and definitely earn their HEA!!
This story had me feeling so many different emotions while reading it. To me, that is the sign of a well written story. It's always enjoyable when SEAL Team 3 makes a showing in each book too. They all have a special bond and are a tight knit group and special kind of family! I really liked that this one had Danny, Lucy and their children included.
Easily read as a stand alone, but if you read Jake's first book, you will get a little better understanding of the background story.
