If you love the Robbin' Hearts series like I do, you will enjoy this novella. The author gives us a glimpse into the life of Granny Tinker that's beautiful and heartbreaking. Diane Reed's words are so poetic, they leave my heart dancing. There is something so special about these stories that cause me to want to believe in magic and the goodness in others. HOPE and FAITH in the people we love shines brightly throughout this series. If you haven't read them, I suggest you grab a copy immediately! -Tina Donnelly, Reading for Fun Book Reviews

This is not my first time entering Bandits Hollow and I hope that it is not my last! Author Diane J. Reed continues to amaze readers with her "backwoods" characters and this book is no exception. This novella was a short story, but it packed a major punch! The reader was able to learn more about Granny Tinker and where her magic and mystery comes from. The author took us into the past and straight back to the present with her unique way of storytelling. The reader felt like they were shuttling between two amazing worlds and had no trouble understanding what was happening. I loved every page of this novella and will be adding it to my favorite books of 2015 list!!
If you have not read any of the books in this series then you are missing out on an amazing journey between friends, family and a bond between a set of people that leaves the reader jealous for this set of misfits in their lives. The author leaves the reader with a feeling of belonging and with a feeling of love as they interact with the group from Bender Lake. Don't miss this novella or any of the other full length books that she has written as they are a must read for everyone! I love this series and am hoping for more (hint, hint).
Granny Tinker (Evangeline)is a very powerful gypsy fortune teller, is taken from her present day by an old boyfriend (through old Indian magic) back to a time she once went to my accident but stayed 6 mos.,fell in love but returned to live her life helping people when she knew if she stayed her heart would break. But her young friend Brandy saw her taken, saw her fear...so she went to another friend Lorraine to try to figure out what happen to Granny Tinker. A 6 year old boy tells them Granny could see ghost with her mirror (he has it now), they borrow the mirror to see if they can use it to find help. Though the mirror Granny's great great grandmother tells them Granny's true name and guilds them to see granny's past and that of the man who took her. How they met when Evangeline was a young women. How she ended up in his time and why though a mistake it happen. When they also found out that he would be returning her they leave Granny's spot and go have a holiday eggnog (with a kick to it).
A GREAT QUIET SUNDAY MORNING READ. Love to read more like this.
* I received a copy of this novella from the author in exchange for my honest review *
I give the book 3 out of 5 stars. It was a good book though I find it hard to go on with the story ‘cause it took me almost twenty pages before I understood the plot. Despite that fact, I enjoyed the story. It was thrilling and very into magic.
