The first chapter had me completely sucked in.
The combination of medicine and angelic powers used at just the right time kept me turning the pages and aching to read when I wasn't.
I cannot wait to see where this series goes I only hope I do not have to wait too long.
Highly recommend this novel, if you love this as much as I do I strongly recommend you follow it with Heavenly Hell by Aria.
I couldn't put this book down once I started reading it. I was hooked on the book by the end of chapter one and by the time I hit chapter 4 I was engrossed. Any reservations I had about the hot guy that would make you swoon left as soon as I met AJ. I just wish that there was more of him in the book. He's a pivotal character in the book and one of my favorites but he's only one of the love interests for Nardia.
Nardia is a senior nurse at the hospital, which is where a majority of this story takes place. She has the ability to heal people with just a touch, but she can't go around healing everyone or people would find out her secret. Usually she knows when she's suppose to heal someone other times she has to be told. Besides being able to heal people she's unable to die and has been around for about 392 years. She doesn't remember anything about her childhood before she woke up in St. Giles in a abandoned building.
Regan is Dr. at the hospital that Nardia works at. He's attractive and the other love interest of Nardia's but there's something about him that I don't like. He seems like the perfect gentleman and a good guy. Regan becomes close to the new Dr. who starts at the hospital. He really seems to admire him and is constantly talking about Dr. Jeffries and singing his praises to Nardia. When I first me Dr. Jeffries I had an instant dislike of him and by the time I reached the end of the book I knew why.
AJ is considering purchasing the coffee shop that Nardia frequents on a daily basis. He and Nardia have an instant attraction to one another. She's the reason he's there and considering buying the coffee shop. The reason behind that will be revealed later on in the book. AJ is definite swoon worthy material. He can cook, makes awesome coffee, a great lover, and when he sings he has the ability to bring back memories of Nardia's past. The past she doesn't remember.
Aria Williams thank you so much for this book. You drew me into the story and I became so engrossed that I lost all track of time. I absolutely loved this book even though it ends with a cliffhanger. I can't wait for the second book to come out so I can find out what happens. I truly great story that I would recommend to all.
The story is well written and well edited, the characters are interesting and so is the plot which doesn't really start to play out until the second half of the book. The book ends on a cliffhanger, just FYI, with everything up in the air. Waiting for the second book to find out what happens.....
Heat factor moderate.
My main beef is the unexpected cliffhanger and it's huge, but I will not be getting the next one.
I think it's rude to not announce when you reading about a book that you will not get resolution in the first book.
At least if announced, the reader has the option of knowing that they will have to purchase other books.
